I don't know what version I have. last update was on 2/14, and it says bluecruise map was updated. I can't find version anywhere.

There is no software version. If your car got the blue cruise map update then it’s up to date and you’re all set.

Courtesy of today's F150 Lightning launch, we have good news for the MME:
  • The Lightning will ship with a new charging-locator map that identifies fast chargers and allows users to report broken or malfunctioning charging stations.... That new charger-locator interface will eventually come to the Mustang Mach-E, which is due for a major software update later this year that will refresh the entire interface displayed on the screens in the car. Farley likens it to an iPhone update, saying “the whole UX is going to change.”
Oh crap! So far every update has screwed up something that was working fine before. Does this guy not realize that threatening us with upcoming updates isn't helping things any?

I'm guessing March 2023 if it happens.

what's the numbers people talking about? e.g. 2.3.0?

Those are just reference numbers to the OTA updates so they can keep track of each one. Unfortunately they are not software versions as you can receive some of them out of order and still have everything be fine.
The car does not have one version number. It is made up of dozens of modules, each has its own firmware version. The numbers associated with the OTA updates are just reference numbers, they are NOT version numbers. That’s why some may be delivered out of order. Up until recently each “power up” only addressed one module. Starting with 2.3.0 they did 2 in one update.
Since you’ve gotten a map update that means your car is a newer build. All the cars that are getting updates so far are older builds. Those updates are to get them up to what your car shipped with. So you are up to date.

The last OTA I got was 1.7. Had my dealer do the BC update in their shop and that didn’t work. It killed lane following as well. When they tried to fix it a corrupt package was installed amid everything went down hill from there. It has been in the shop for 4 weeks now and they have replaced the high voltage junction box because the Ford rep said it was blocking software installs. Screw blue cruise I just want my lane following back working like it did last March when all this started. I am truly worried about this planned massive reprogramming of the display. I don’t trust the Ford software team at all.
