I have the same problem. Today makes day 84 with the car and I am already at 6,300 miles. Work is only 9 miles each way. All the rest have been fun back roads and day trips.

I actually just got back from Mt. St. Helens after the wife said she had to work today. I figured since it was going to be over 250 miles round trip I would use some of my free charging from Ford. But when I got to EA with 26%, I was greeted with free EA charging today

So I figured with other chargers available I had time to walk over to Red Lobster for lunch and upon return I was at 85%. Figures this one time there would be no charging issues and the charger was at almost 150 kWh all the way up to 80%.

Mt. St. Helens was pretty cool too. There is still a lot of snow at the Johnson Ridge Observatory and along most of the route up there. The last gas station about 40 miles before the observatory has been long abandoned. It was almost like it was anticipating the future ?.

We picked up our Grabber Blue California Route 1 Mustang on 24 February. We've had it for two months and have put 3700 miles on it.

I've now realized I have a major problem with this car that I haven't had with any other car I've owned.

I am making way too many excuses to drive it.

We usually put fewer than 12,000 miles a year on our non-work vehicles.
Extrapolating from ~1850 miles/month means I'm likely to put more than 20,000 miles per year on my Mustang.
Tell me about it, man, I've got the SAME PROBLEM! I really need to open a support ticket with Ford...

Can I have your VIN and current mileage along with your dealership info so I can look into this for you?

OK, this is clearly a common condition among MME owners. Anyone have suggestions for what to call it? Acute MME-itis? Chronic road warrior syndrome? Compulsive EV discharge?

I'm partial to Voluntary Compulsive EV Acceleration.

I think we should report this to the NHTSA.

I have the opposite problem - after 1 year of ownership I have 5,000 miles. I'm afraid to drive it anywhere as I am surrounded by hideous drivers (SoCal). I know that if I'm in an accident it will be many months before I get it back, or worse, have to wait a year to get another one!

That's a travesty.

You should send it to me here in NAZ. I'll make sure it gets some miles put on it.

I am getting a lot less done at home…
it truly is a great drive. I’ve had some nice cars in my life and don’t recall feeling such joy with a car! There’s something about e-cars…..all the good things….great photo btw with the sunset!

A few years back when I rode a BMW GS1200 our riding club would meet up for coffee in the east mountains of Abq then about 11am head off for a ride. Just to go for a ride. We would usually stick to the mountains as that's where the twisty roads are. We' d stop for lunch then ride home. A great way to spend a Sunday with friends.

Oh, and on the road up to Sandia Peak just to the east of Abq NM (4,000' elevation gain) you could hear the bikes on the road riding up and down the curves if you stopped to listen. The cops would do this too because too often some idiot would ride too fast and right off of a curve and kill himself (it was usually a young kid on a sport bike).

We take our rides either in the canyons or on the straight, flat roads, both of which are nearby. The many motorcycle rides nearby are fantastic. Driving the Mustang on some of those roads is still incredible, but on others it's just...different. But, riding to the Grand Canyon on the bike or in the Mustang is a wonderful distraction from work, so I like to do it once a week or so.

Lately the winds have been just awful (had a terrible wildfire rage through a neighboring town and destroy a couple dozen houses), so it's just safe to be in the Mustang.

My riding group is very small. We enjoy leisurely rides along slow, winding roads most, and just don't want some speed demon disturbing our peace.
