Glad people are finally getting their cars it gives the rest of us some hope the end might be near.

In the meantime though I got another email saying delivery is pushed out another two weeks. But these emails are meaningless since it’s the 3rd one I’ve received pushing it out an arbitrary 2 weeks.

hopefully it’s just an update. I know I have to bring mine back for some. Because of my schedule I didn’t want to wait another 2 days for them to fully charge my car much less some updates. so they’re just having me come back. And so I can also have it for my Mother’s Day road trip.

and I’ve learned my 1st lesson Don’t let your 16 year old drive your car until you’re had time to fully enjoy the car. He already asked to take it for a boys day with his buddies. ??‍♀ On the bright side I gave him good taste in cars.

For those of you getting vehicles, your vehicle should NOT be delivered to you before the dealer performs an update for BlueCruise. If the vehicle was made through 3/7/22, then the maps would have expired during shipment, since they were updated OTA during March. BlueCruise will not work. There is no OTA update that will come. Your dealer needs to perform 22P08, an update to the Gateway Module, before delivering the vehicle to you. There is a delivery hold in the system, and they are supposed to check it.

How can you check if 22P08 (or any specific update) has been applied to the vehicle? My car should arrive at Mira Loma today and I hope to have the car in less than a week.

A colleague of mine has just picked up his car from the same dealership and it was built a week before mine. He drove home with full hands free BC operating.

Edit - you can check if BlueCruise has been updated, because the subscription will show as expiring in 6 months (maps are updated every 6 months). Once you've connected to your car via FordPass, you can log onto the Ford site and see the subscription status.

YOU cannot check anything. A member here with FDRS access can put your VIN in and tell you the pending updates. However, the only likely update that the dealer has to apply is this one, which updates the Gateway module, even if there are other updates pending (mine has a total of 5 pending including this one)

If BlueCruise works handsfree, then either they applied the update, or the car was manufactured after 3/7/22. BC handsfree only works on BlueCruise surveyed highways, 130,000+ miles.

Thank you. His car was built on January 13th, Mine was built on the 15th. We both waited for chips to complete the car into March. His car was complete on the 7th, mine on the 18th of March before the truck/train/truck/train/truck journey began.

I believe that Ford is not updating modules that are in cars sitting in lots weighting for chips, but of course don't know that. Given your friend's car was working fine, yours probably will be also. Again, you can check the status of the BC maps as I indicated, once you connect with the car in FordPass, and then log into Ford.com. Of course you can also ask the dealer if they did any updates because the car was on a delivery hold.

Well, I have been tracking the train car that my car is on. It is scheduled to arrive today at the Mira Loma distribution center about 65 miles away from the dealership.

For probably closer to two months until last night my delivery window is May 2-8. Now that my car is close to delivery the webpage just updated with a new delivery window of May 30, June 6.

I do not have that "delay" e-mail from Ford (yet at least)...but I am assuming this is in error just like the email I got from Ford less than 1 hour after I got the "your car is built" e-mail that said my car was now scheduled for production.

Hopefully to those that have also seen a slip in delivery will find their cars also arrive "ahead" of the "current" schedule. I am hopeful that the dealership can get my car on a carrier early next week.

Hi! How are you tracking the train part? I’ve been using the UP Trace phone number but it doesn’t give locations.
I don’t know the exact location of the car but I know that the train is moving and when the train is expected to arrive.

I believe that a "delivery hold" is not a recall, but when the dealer preps the car and puts the VIN into FDRS, they should know they need to do the maps update.
