Selling my Mach-E

I'm starting the process of selling my Mach-E very soon. If anyone has done so, can you let me know any pointers on what I'm dealing with. For example, are there any steps I need to take to transfer ownership in Ford Pass. Will my unused EA kw package transfer over to the new owner? Just looking for any pointers someone has.

Are you selling privately, through a buying service, or to a dealer?

If you are not selling privately (to a private party), I recommend you get offers from CarMax, Carvana, Vroom and Carlotz. You can use your highest bid to try and match a dealer offer.

Regarding "resetting" your vehicle, I'd recommend disabling your phone as a key (if set up) from your phone and car, then performing a factory reset in the Sync 4A system.

Last, go into your Ford account from a computer and remove the vehicle from your account.

Carvana Sold a car just like yours last week for about 11 grand over the sticker it had 28,000 miles on it. Mileage is less of a depreciating factor on EVs since They tend to need less maintenance and the batteries all have 100,000 mile 8 to 10 year warranty that guarantees performance levels
You should do great don’t get abused the market is in your favor
If you have the time drop it in the auto trader for 10 to 12 grand over sticker and you might just catch the one who needs one right now

Look online and see what their selling for within 300 miles, asking price is a good data point

Aside from the other suggestions, also try Shift and Driveway, they often offer higher than Vroom and Carvana to try and capture market share. Best of luck!

I called Ford customer service with this exact question last week. After putting me on hold for a couple of minutes, the CSR came back and said that the 250 kWh benefit can only be used on the car it was offered with and only by the original buyer. She said that if I don't use it before selling the car it will be lost.

Where can one find such documentation?

Call the selling dealer and ask them to verify on letterhead that your MME only came with one keyfob (if that’s the case.).

In my instance I asked them for my 2nd keyfob and they confirmed by email that my MME was produced 06/28/21 and came with only one keyfob. The 2 keyfobs started with production after 07/06/21.

Depending on how you value the kWh you are talking about ~$90

Best of luck with the sale; you should be pleasantly surprised. MMEs with 20,000+ miles are selling for $55,000+ right now. With the tax credit taken into consideration, you'll have driven the car essentially for free.
