As of today, "Departed on a flatcar, Peru, Indiana, 5:15 a.m."
Looks like mine is on the same train as yours. I also got the same status today. Makes sense since it is also going to Hempstead Ford (John Berto). Hopefully they are keeping each other company for the long trip lol.

Where in NorCal are you? I'm in Sacramento. Our cars are probably on the same train. Last checked my car is on ramp6r, richards-gerbaur , Mo. ETA 5/26/-6/1.
I'm also on ramp 6R, Richards-gebauer, so they must be lining us up for a California bound train that later splits to southern, northern, mid, Central Valley, .... We are a big and long damn state. Status has remained ASN, pending, throughout.

Per Ford chat (last week and again yesterday), my Mach-E is on the Argentine Ramp, destined for greatness via BNSF Railcar # TTGX156137.

I'm also here in Sacramento, so I'm thinking there might be a bunch of vehicles headed our way.

Palsapp is telling me "Argentine Ramp".

Window Sticker is RU84, Which is BNSF - Richmond
I too have RU84. Headed for the San Luis Obispo area. I went from ASN to Delivered to KC over the weekend...no updates in between.

WELL, it isn't one train heading west - since I got no movement. You all going to NorCal and SLO are going separately from mine.
Still pending, ASN

One other question, especially for all of you folks who have actually picked up your car:

My original order (from July 2021) was rolled over from a 2021 to a 2022 model. Price went up from ~$54k to ~$56k. When inquiring about price protectio, my salesman told me (caps lock his, not mine):

YOUR ORDER WAS ORIGINALLY A 2021 THAT BALANCED OUT TO A 2022 MODEL.THE PRICE PROTECTION DOES NOT PROTECT A YEAR CHANGE.

Is that correct, or is he mistaken?

When I said I was bringing my first Ford home, this is not what I envisioned (don't worry, it's just a loaner).

I have been quiet on this thread as I have been going through a lot to figure out what was wrong with my MME and what the next steps are.

First things first, a TL;DR - my Mach E delivered on last Wednesday had a service needed light come on after 40 miles. The issue has been tracked down to a failure in the pump assembly. The part is not orderable at all, and an internal ticket has been made.

Now. The story for those who want a good read.

On Wednesday May 4th, my dealership had received my MME. They told me that it would be ready to sell on Friday, but I went down there to snap some pictures and get a trade in offer. After going down there to do so, the salesman came over to me and said, "How would you like to go home with it tonight?" I stated that the car needed to be checked and he said he got the all clear, and it was being prepped right now. I was elated. The purchase went smoothly, and I went home. This was 20 miles of driving, and no issues at all.

Upon inspection of the car in the garage lighting, I noticed a very small dent that looked like it could easily be fixed. This to me was simple, and I planned to go to the dealer the next day to show them. I took the car over to the dealership and showed them the ding, in which they told me to come back the next day (Friday) at 9 am to the body shop to get it looked at and fixed. No problem, things like this can happen. Upon 15 minutes of driving back to home, I received the wrench warning stating that service was needed soon. I immediately rolled my eyes, thinking it may be a battery issue or something else that was silly. I mentally prepared to go back the next day at 7am to the service center instead of the body shop, and have the car looked at.

Upon bringing it in, I got some very concerned faces very fast. Both from the salesman and from the service person as well. The car only had a little over 50 miles in it....this wasn't a good sign. We all agreed this could easily be a battery issue, and that it may have been an oversight. The service department would give it a full look over and let me know.

6 hours went by....nothing. My gut was telling me that something was wrong. I called them and asked what was going on, and they said that there was an issue with the pump assembly. They followed up quickly by saying that this could still be a false error, and for that reason they needed the car over the weekend to run a tip-to-tip diagnostic. I had no choice but to agree, as even if it's a battery, the car isn't safe to drive.

Monday morning came by, and the diagnostic was only pointing to the pump. To be safe, they did some work on the battery, performed some resetting, and took it for a test drive. The test drive was supposed to be 30 minutes....it only took 4 for the error to come back up again. It was now official. The pump assembly had failed.

The service person called me, and I could tell from the tone in his voice that this was really not good. They contacted dealers within a several thousand mile radius, nothing could be located. They went to order the part, and it couldn't be ordered. I was informed that a backend ticket to Ford had been created, and that we needed to wait for the next step.

This morning I got a text informing me that the outlook was really not good currently, and we would now go on a weekly update basis. If the part comes along or there's an update within that time, then I would be told what was going on asap. Either way, the Bronco is the loaner for now.

Service seems to be doing all that they can currently, but there will be a large conversation on compensation for this. It's been a hard week regarding the Mach E, and a tiring one overall.

Mistaken. I got price protection.

There is a thread of truth...but it is not correct.

The price went up very slightly when your order was converted to a 2022 and Ford gave a voucher of $750 to cover any small price differences (and there were some adjustments, but they were all below $750, so Ford actually made the 2022 less expensive for people that ordered a 2021.

You should have an e-mail from Ford on 10/1/2021:

"Your 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E (model name here) is being converted to a 2022 model year. Rest assured, your place in line has not been affected by this update. We've simply reached our production capacity for the 2021 model year, so we're updating your order.

Please note: Your dealer will be in contact to verify your order specifications. If you wish to make any other updates to your order at that time, your dealer will be ready to help.

To thank you for being a valued customer, we're offering you $750* to help cover any price variation for the model-year update.

Because you are a valued customer, providing you with the freedom to move and pursue your dreams is our biggest priority. We appreciate your patience and look forward to producing your Ford Mustang Mach-E."

--

And then all orders placed prior to January 3, 2022 had additional price protection...because on January 4th, prices went up by thousands.

I will dig up that language shortly.

The same e-mail body also said (see bold highlighted line). Since July 2021 is before January 3rd, you got the original 2022 pricing, with $750 off.

Orders placed for a Mach E after January 3, 2022, got the new $2000 higher price. That e-mail outlined it all. The bottom of that same e-mail said:

"*New 2022MY vehicles: $750 on Mustang Mach-E, Edge, Escape, Explorer, EcoSport, Bronco™ Sport, Ranger, Transit Cutaway, Transit Van and Transit Wagon. Excludes 2022MY Bronco SUV, Maverick, F-150 Lightning,™ F-150 Tremor,™ F-150 Raptor,™ Mustang Mach 1 and Mustang Shelby® GT500®. May not combine with other private or commercial offers, conquest cash, owner loyalty and lease renewal programs. A/Z/D/X-Plan eligible. Transferable within household. U.S. residents. Prior purchases not eligible. Place order or take new retail delivery from an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer's stock by 1/3/22. See dealer for details. Dealer: Claim in VINCENT using #38278 or #38276 and customer ID."

Sorry to hear about your problems. Which pump exactly failed? {Jonathan}

Never seemed to get that answer every time I asked. The only info I got was that it was some sort of pump system that directly affected the acceleration.

He’s wrong. The $750 rebate was for the model year change from a 2021 to a 2022 (October). The Price Protection is for the increase in price in December. I got the rebate and PP.

I recommend printing the email you received from Ford for the $750 rebate. Also, print your order price sheet that you received when you ordered the car. You can print off the detail about what PP is and how it works off of the Forum. There are several good posts.

Make sure they reflect your deposit as a reduction. My deposit was $500. They might conveniently forget it. ?
