I had to pay for Electrify America even though I still have plenty of complimentary charging

I have a balance of 280kwh from the 500 I received.

I had to charge while out of town last weekend at an Electrify America in San Diego. I plugged in, and instead of going ahead and charging, it required that I put my credit card in and pay for it.

Anyone else experience this?

No issues previously.

FWIW, I've been experiencing the same. Not sure if this has to do with being "stuck" at 1.7.1

Plug & Charge sometimes fails for me. Instead, I go through FordPass Blue Oval Network, select the location.& pump#, plug the thing into the MME, then Authorize through the app. If this starts charging it will always use your bundle.

Did you try initiating the charge through the fordpass app on your phone first?

plug-n-charge isn't the only way to initiate a charge through ford to use the free kwh

I just had this happen with an in-network ChargePoint charger in San Luis Obispo, CA. I will try using this advice next time.

With Chargepoint? Yeah. But all was well when I used an EA charger. In fact, it spells out that it will use the free bundle when you select an EA charger. I hadn't realized that...
