For the past four or five days whenever I attempt to connect to the charging station from my phone I receive a message that states the "connection is lost and my charge station wasn't able to connect to the server. You should still be able to charge while we try to reconnect". I have a waited and nothing has happened. The charger works fine. I can charge my car. Change the output of the charger and schedule departure times. I can see past charging history through February 9, when everything stopped. I know from past problems that trying to communicate with Ford is a waste of time. Is anyone else having this problem.
I'm also having this issue constantly. I shut off the breaker in my panel, wait 30 seconds and reboot. It will start working again.

I'm working with Ford and the charger manufacturer on this issue. You can contact ford support and tell them you want to talk to "team Edison" which is the division of techs and engineers that are working on this issue. By chance, is your charger in a area that is cold? (less than 40 degrees)

When you contact them, you can mention my case number and explain you are also having the same issue and you would like their engineers to work with you on solving this issue.

I tired your suggestion. It did not work. My charger is outside on my front porch and it does get cold, but was colder earlier in the winter and I had no problem.

Hi there! Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end. Thank you!
Seriously? This person just said they have someone they are working with and the issue had been determined already and they are getting a replacement. The person who created this post @bobh is the one you need to be asking and helping!

I'm getting the same message. I've had my Mach-E for a little over a month. My Ford Connected Charge Station was installed about two weeks ago. I got it connected to my WiFi, but would see the "Connection Lost" message in the FordPass app. The next day that message stopped coming up, and it looked like it had started working - but then the "Lost Connection" message started coming up again later that evening and it's been that way every time I've checked ever since.

I had some folks tell me to just let it be, everything was OK, and it would start working - but it hasn't. It also is no longer connected to my WiFi, and as far as I know it hasn't connected to it since a brief period the day after install. I tried using the setup app again, and it won't connect to the Charge Station anymore. I normally use iPhone, but I have an Android phone also and it couldn't connect to the Charge Station either. I tried disconnecting power to the Charge Station overnight one evening to try and reset it, but that didn't have any effect on anything.

It works fine to charge my Mach-E. It's basically just a "dumb" charger though, with none of the "connected" features.

Do you have a good wifi signal in the charger's location? Is your phone on the same network as your charger?

Open your wifi router control panel and see if the charger is in its list of connected devices. If not, either your wifi signal strength is inadequate or you have a possible faulty charger.

Yes, there's a good WiFi signal. I have a mesh WiFi system, and one of the nodes is in the laundry room - which is on the opposite side of the wall that the charger is mounted on. My Mach-E is right there next to the charger and connects to WiFi with no issues. My phone also connects to WiFi in the garage (and anywhere outside my home) with no issues. Yes, my phone is on the same network as the charger, although the phone being on the same network shouldn't matter. The phone connects to the charger via Bluetooth, not WiFi, during any setup or updating of WiFi information for the charger. The phone doesn't connect to the charger via WiFi at any point. WiFi is used for the charger to connect to the Ford cloud, and the FordPass app is pulling info down from the Ford cloud. The only direct connection between the phone and charger is via Bluetooth, and mine won't connect via Bluetooth anymore after the initial setup. I even tried with a completely different phone, and the other phone won't connect to the charger via Bluetooth either - so it's not an issue with my phone.

This happened when I first installed my charger. I rebooted it by shutting it down from the breaker and turning it back on.

Just had a Ford Connected Charging Station installed today and I wish I had seen these threads before purchasing and spending money to have it installed. I'm having the same issue as everyone else. I get "CONNECTION LOST Your Charge Station wasn't able to connect to the server. You should still be able to charge while we try to reconnect."

It's strange that the setup seems to go as planned and it adds the charger to the FordPass app. but then this when you try to access it. Interesting though is that I can select insights and see the charge event from this evening.

Has anyone had any success finding a resolution to this?

I haven't. I've cut power to it two or three times in an attempt to "reset" it. One time I left the power cut overnight. Still won't connect. So I just use it as a "dumb" charger.

Do you know that this will work. Have you done it.
I’ve been having the same problem and “rebooting” the charging station by turning off the breaker, waiting a few minutes, then turning it back on again worked!
