I’m most interested at this point to know the timing of the OTA release to dealers. It sounds like they already have the software “fix”. I’m hoping it gets rolled out to dealers closer to the first part of July.Mine arrived at the dealer today and the wait continues. Already waited this long so a few more weeks isn’t going to kill me. But damn, it looks awesome![]()

Ford chat only seems to have three locations in their tracking - Lecheria MX, Laredo, and KC. Check with KCS railroad with your railcar number. Their tracking is more precise.Any thoughts on why my car is still sitting (or whatever it's doing) in Laredo?
They said the car is not currently associated with a rail car, but perhaps I'll give the "previous" rail car number a shot.Ford chat only seems to have three locations in their tracking - Lecheria MX, Laredo, and KC. Check with KCS railroad with your railcar number. Their tracking is more precise.
Just be careful because you're liable to see the railcar going back South after the dropoff in KC.They said the car is not currently associated with a rail car, but perhaps I'll give the "previous" rail car number a shot.
Mine is too. I bet our cars are right next to each otherAny thoughts on why my car is still sitting (or whatever it's doing) in Laredo?
My dealer is awesome. It would be helpful if we keep each other informed if a dealer tries to pressure you to buy the vehicle before they perform the software update.
We just had the same thing with explorers, but the fix was an over the air update, and came out pretty quick. If by chance it does take a minute, you won't have to pay anything until it's completely ready. It's yours unless you tell us otherwise.
Simple, straightforward, some useful info, reassuring, and doing what’s in your best interest. Your dealer should provide pro tips to the others. My dealer is awesome.
Text I received from them the other day when I asked what the procedure was what with a delivery hold in place:
Funny because my salesman just sent me an email to talk about the Explorer issue (I actually have an Explorer ST 2022). There was a important safety issue with Explorers. Ford told it would be fixed end of July and the software update was released 2 weeks ago finally. My dealer is awesome.

My dealer said I could stop by any time to check the car out and it's mine unless I say I don't want it. No pressure to close the deal. I was able to give it a head to toe and sit in it yesterday. It would be helpful if we keep each other informed if a dealer tries to pressure you to buy the vehicle before they perform the software update.
We're in a similar situation. Our other car, besides the hopefully soon-to-arrive Mach E, is a Ford Escape. Hopefully it doesn't roll away on us before the fix is ready (luckily the odds are extremely low)Funny because my salesman just sent me an email to talk about the Explorer issue (I actually have an Explorer ST 2022). That doesn’t mean the same will append for Mach-E for sure but I think we all have to focus on positive and continue hoping and trusting what Ford is doing is for our safety first.
They told me that they only update every few days. When I asked yesterday, it hadn't updated since the 13th. When did they tell you Laredo?Any thoughts on why my car is still sitting (or whatever it's doing) in Laredo?
