My GTPE had a horribly bouncy ride today, but luckily/hopefully only temporarily.

Got a “suspension fault” notice and the mag ride shocks started doing nothing. So the car would bounce 3-4 times after every bump. Luckily it was fixed when I restarted the car. But now I think I know what the non GTPE people are talking about.

Here is a video going over speed humps. I am trying to hold my hand steady. Don’t watch if you get motion Sick!

Go to Vehicle Settings --> Suspension and turn off "Crown Vic Mode."

Non GTPE do not experience that bounce your describing/showing even after going over speed bumps. Yours is clearly the result of a suspension malfunction.

I hope not that bad.

But it does show evidence of what happens when your shocks suck.

Solution? Better shocks!

Lol. Not me either. The humps are at the end of the video. I was doing…… 9 mph.

It’s been a while but got the suspension fault again today.

The cause? Remote starting the vehicle. Same thing that did it over a year ago. I rarely remote start but I’m shocked they haven’t figured out this bug yet.

Huh, I remote start mine most of the time before I leave work. I have not gotten a suspension fault from that. I did get one every time I disconnected the ride height sensors to muck with the suspension. ?‍♂?

Beats me. But a year ago I got the fault after remote start.

A few days before that I got multiple faults from a different time I remote started.

Luckily the faults all went away when I restarted the car. But it has only happened when I remote start.

Here was my thread with the other faults-
