I still have time to cancel this extended warranty actually and think I might. I can't imagine needing to pay a 5% premium on the cost of the car to get years 4 through 6 covered for the cheap stuff. anything in here make you guys think twice about buying it? roughly $2900 or 43 a month for 72 months added to my loan
It’s really a personal choice taking or not but don’t forget to calculate all interests you will pay over your loan for this warranty and also check with state law protections…

We don’t have lemon law in Canada but we have a super strong law protecting us on everything (not only cars) and it will goes over the basic warranty by manufacturers. Unfortunately, majority of consumers where I live are not aware of this automatic protection and continue to buy extra protections when no need.

But some warranties can be good to have like a lease protection to not pay extras when returning the car if there is some scratches…

So check with your consumer state laws, can save you money.

I call them directly and get an automated update on the location. Here’s the info:

Call Norfolk Southern via 800-635-5768.

Press 2 for Intermodal. Then 2 for tracing.

For AOK, press 266655#
Then enter your 6-digit car number followed by #.

Its July. I can’t believe we’re still dealing with this shit.
I don't know how to get my rail number.

Junk. I’d cancel if I were you. Besides, if you want it you can get it for cheaper through the link that @jr4 provided.

No problem. Our vehicles might be on the same car. If you’re interested in tracking, you can get the car # from ford chat or your dealer.

I let the finance manager know I want to cancel the extended. anything critical should be caught in the first 3 years and the major risk after that is the battery covered for 8 years so I think I'll dump it and spend the money on PPF instead. unfortunately I needed a cosigner and the paperwork was sent to them with the ext warranty so I have to wait an extra 2 or 3 days ultimately. I'll be glad I saved the 3k though.

Thank you. I didn't realize that worked for AOK cars.

I think you doubled and tripled up on some numbers there. For AOK, 265# worked for me.

My rail car is empty, so my information is out of date. I'll figure that out tomorrow.

Yeah, i've just been following your rail updates as I gotta figure the cars are arriving the same day. Dealers can't be too many miles away from each other.

yeah it's hard to know when my gearhead brother is obsessed with protecting his own car but doesn't have to pay plus the finance guy saying " it's your call. First year model, All Electric vehicle that you plan on keeping past the 3 years Bumper to Bumper warranty.. f you still want to proceed without that coverage", etc. it's nice to have this forum since I have no prior experience and there are all kinds of pitfalls. actually had someone tell me this was "a learning process". I said no riding a bike is a learning process. buying a $60k car is something I only want to do once.

I think I’m not alone to say that I made a lot of stupid mistakes before I learnt how to negotiate a big purchase. I got fleeced so badly while buying my first two vehicles that it fundamentally changed the way I do things in life. Luckily for you it didn’t cost you anything. I hope you enjoy your Mach-E and that it won’t be the last $60k car you buy!

well ideally I'll at least have a trade in next time lol. guy asked me what I was driving before this, I said, "I took the bus here" lol.

btw I got two key fobs IDK if that's standard now but a nice thing to have. especially since the fordpass app constantly crashes on my Android (something the engineers are aware of I'm told)

Anyone ever have their estimated delivery date as per the Ford tracking site roll backwards? Mine was estimated July 4-10, then earlier today it went July 9-16... now it's back to July 4-10. Hoping that's a good sign or it could very well just be a bug on the site.

My Cyber Orange Premium dates moved up 3 days and actually arrived 1-2 days earlier too.

I think Ford is conservative with their estimates as they don't control the "final mile" trucking route to the dealership.

Your dealership should know when it arrives. You are within the delivery window.

You have for sure the same problems as Montreal now. I talked with a guy who works at Montreal CN…. He is the one who deload containers.

It’s a mess there with GM and Ford, they don’t know where to put cars, around 3000 GM and Ford new cars and they put them randomly because it’s crazy. So someone could sit there for only 1 week and some for 45 days… there is no priority apparently. Your dealership has no control and can’t track this mess unfortunately… it’s a truckers shortage.
