There’s a new icon related to the Mach E recall appearing on the top left of the FordPass app.

Clicking on the icon leads me to a website where my VIN is run through Ford to see if any recall is needed.

According to the app, no recall is needed for my Mach E. This is extremely surprising as running my VIN against the NHTSA’s website shows that my car does require a recall.

so… who do I trust? Ford or the NHTSA?

I haven’t checked my status yet on NHTSA, but the NHTSA screenshot you posted says “MAY BE POSSIBLE” it doesn’t say anything definite. …so, glass half full?

pretty sure my car is under recall from its manufacturing date. I’ve decided to trust the nhtsa site over ford, given how the latter has been having server issues lately.

You DO have the recall, since the car hasn't been updated OTA or by the dealer. It will show up when your dealer checks your VIN. The issues with FDRS have been fixed and dealers are able to resume software updates. The customer-facing recall website has not been updated yet with the recall, that seems to be the last website to get updated only after the customer notification letters are sent.

If anyone has doubts about whether they have a current recall, use the Ford ETIS website for definitive confirmation. It is the most up-to-date source of info you have access to for recalls: https://www.etis.ford.com/vehicleRegSelector.do Engine type will say Zetec, that is a bug, ignore.

You can check the ford ETIS site (https://www.etis.ford.com/) with your VIN, which shows you do indeed have the 22S41 recall :)

Ford Mustang Mach-E FordPass Recall Notice 1658166721282

Interestingly enough, the description has recently changed to indicate it's just a software update instead (the old description sounded like a parts fix)

Mine did as well for a few days. Even the dealer told me there were no active recalls when they looked up my VIN. I checked again yesterday though and it shows up on ford website now, so perhaps they’re just rolling it out slowly.

I have same problem and I even just received notification from ford about battery recall item. I will trust that letter.
