Try to pull a top of the line Airstreem for more than 100 miles with any EV. …..
Keeping my Platinum 150. Forever.

I still think you are underestimating the creativity and innovation the free market provides when there is a sufficient demand for a product. I agree battery technology isn't likely to follow Moore's Law, but certainly there will be breakthroughs and significant improvements in energy density and charging speed. Lucid already makes a car that can go over 500 miles between charges. It isn't unrealistic to expect that to continue to improve and become available for a reasonable price.“Imagine” is right. Moore’s law doesn’t apply to batteries. It’s fantasy to think it does.
Energy density is a “physics” problem, not merely a technological one.
You can only safely cram so much power into so little space.
Solid state is definitely better, but still not enough.
If the “we hope to” claims of solid state battery people are to be believed, they’ll weigh half as much as a lithium battery now.
And that’s still waaaaay too heavy for boats, planes and rigs.
We have been trying to make batteries better for well over a century. I don’t think the breakthrough is right around the corner.
My guess is that batteries aren’t the end game. Something else will have to be or we will have to continue with internal combustion engines.
Now you are starting to sound like our government.I still think you are underestimating the creativity and innovation the free market provides when there is a sufficient demand for a product. I guess I am just optimistic. I do agree there are significant problems in the short run, especially DCFC capacity, but eventually those issue will be solved IMO.
Mr. Musk says you just plug into one of them hyperchargers, and the battery is full in like ten minutes.LOL
Yeah those are sweet. Only about 25 million each. A real bitch to charge overnight I bet …..

Even better, we don't know what power sources will be developed that could replace the battery. Mr. Fusion! Except it will take years to get that approved by regulators, because that is how they roll...Now you are starting to sound like our government.
Solve todays problems with tomorrows unknown technology!
Could be a right brain left brain thing.
My right brain brother in law moved to California years ago. When asked what he’s going to do when he gets there, his answer was “we will find a place to live and find jobs…….”
My left brain self just can’t even comprehend doing that. Yet for the right brain people….. it always seems to work out!
I'm sticking with my ICE BEV combo. Different tools for different jobs. Both have their place, and my ICE car still turns more headsBeing a motor head ever since I saw Steve McQueen in Bullitt at the ripe old age of 11, I have owned and driven a plethora of ICE vehicles.
I have driven everything from a BMW Isetta, to a twin turbo Porche 935, and while I do miss the sound and fury of a high performance vehicle, I would never go back!
Lately I have been toying with the idea of a Factory Five MK4 Cobra and stuffing in an Eluminator powerplant! just need to figure out the battery situation and availability.

Wouldn't expect moparguy to hang around a ford forum for long but there's not much in the mopar catalog right now for BEVs.Yes, will own another one for sure, I still want to buy a 911.
If gas goes down, I am definitely replacing the EV with a V8.
