I was wondering if there's anyway to find out how much energy was gained during a trip and general drive/trip stats (energy used, efficiency, regened energy, etc)?

I have a Job 1 Mach-e and the "My EV Driving" section in the ford pass app does nothing.

Would be really cool if the interface in the car could show real time when regen braking is working and how much energy was regenerated. Guess that's a bridge too far for Ford

yes, it would be really cool to see this on the display.... actual kW output/regen.

unfortunately, the only way to see it real time is to get an ODB2 and app like CarScanner to display the info on your phone. Its possible, but not on the MME display even though the data is available.

there are a couple threads on this started about a year ago, but no response from Ford whether display changes would ever be considered.

Doesn’t the “brake score” give the miles added by regeneration to the range for each trip?

Where do you see the brake score?

I can confirm this is also a thing. I recently took a trip through the Santa Cruz mountains, and I logged a regen of 18.7 miles on my 60 mile trip.

Would be nice if it were more accessible via the infotainment display, rather than buried in Fordpass app.

There is also interesting data available in Carscanner. I had to get an ELM237 OBD2 adapter but it works. I was playing with it while the wife was driving. It records a log of each trip, all sensors.

Here's a plot of kW vs time (red) and kWh remaining (green). Any time the kW is negative it is in regen. If I can export or find the data file on my phone, I could get the negative portion area under the curve to get the regen total kWh.

Actually I just realized that the math won't work since in order for the power to be negative the regen amplitude has to be greater than the idle consumption of the a/c and accessories.

Oh well the plot is cool. I still wanna try to export it to excel to mess with.

Does anyone know why the My EV Driving history doesn't get recorded for Job 1 cars? I have seen it mentioned in other threads but no explanation as to why

Mine didn’t for a while until it got all the BlueCruise updates OTA last month. My guess is you still need those.

@sid234

To obtain his figure I note the range on the GOM at the start and at the end of the drive. This gives me a GUESSTIMATE of the range reduction. I then compare it to the actual milage from the "Trips". I compare the Guesstimate vs the actual range and that gives me a ballpark figure of the amount of miles I added via regeneration.

Hope this helps.
