They don't give suggestions. But they'll ask for your VIN and dealer location.
Yes, I gave them all that information with my request. Unfortunately, you are probably right about giving me any suggestions but one can always hope. ;)

I successfully updated the Ford Power-Up software that was issued August 6. (I have a 2021 MachE "Select") I then plugged my car into my home house current and it began charging with a target of 100%; I had set the target at 65% prior to the update. I then went into the Setting > Charging menu to restore my setting prior to the update and was unable to specify charging locations and target levels -- it was grayed out. I got an error message that said I had to charge at a location before I could set targets or times for that location. But I just HAD been charging for several hours at that location. I tried unplugging and resetting, replugging in and resetting, all possible maneuvers that I could think of, but the "charging locations" line was continuously greyed out.

Is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong? Any suggestions would be most welcome!
Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

FYI to all who are suggesting to "wait a day or two" and to "charge again for a few minutes"...none of that has worked (for me anyway). My charge logs show that I am charging however location remains unavailable (blank screen).

Well for me right now waiting the 24 hours had the software return to normal in that it listed my home address and let me set the charge level to 80%. VERY strange!! Just hope it doesn't go crazy again.

Same for me. Says I have to charge before I can set (done so 3 times), but I assume that is to pick a location from Previous Locations. How can you "save" to the Saved Locations? It would seem to me you should be able to save your home location as a Saved Location.

I still cannot set the charge location back to "Home" with my exact home address. It lists a neighbor's house and calls it "Default" but it does work so for now I'm leaving it. I have a call into Ford and they are supposed to get back to me to fix it and put it back to where the settings were.

The problem is still ongoing.
"Line grayed out" - Did you turn the car on first or not? Ignition must be on when you're changing those settings.

Here's what I would try if it's still stuck.

Unplug car, turn ignition on, manually delete all saved charging locations, reboot SYNC, turn off car, open door, and allow car to go to sleep (5 min). Plug in charger and charge for 5 minutes. Unplug. Turn on car, go into charge settings and save the location, set desired %.

I just received the PowerUp 3.3.1 update recently and for some reason, locations are again showing up and allow me to set preferred times. There wasn't a "fix" indicated in the PowerUp details but now it works.

I must be lucky. Having read the previous complaints about the update, I was prepared, when my car was updated, and I finally needed to recharge (I am retired). I plugged in the car, it started to charge, got in the car, turned it on (stopping charging), re-entered by charging location, charging maximum of 90%, and times of day for charging, turned off the car (it restarted charging), and went inside. I noted that FordPass still showed I was charging to 100%. Decided to not panic. Waited to see what actually happened. Six hours later, FordPass reported stopping charging at the programmed 90%. Obviously, others are having different experiences.

My problem seems to have resolved itself – or Ford somehow fixed it for me without my knowledge.
