Last weekend I received an unknown OTA update (no description, but sounds something like this; the CorrelationID was FIRE-PRD-SOFTWARE-FVN2-650160-722885-12756) and other then being curious if this would finally unlock 2.8.3 or 224S1/22S29 didn't think anything of it. However, Monday we left on a road trip and discovered that the navigation was borked. Luckily we had Android Auto as a backup, but for six+ hours it never came back alive. I can't confirm it's related to the OTA, but everything was fine before.

Whenever I select "Navigation", this is what happens for 30 to 60 seconds.

I couldn't find any posts describing this. Any suggestions for what to do next? I tried rebooting Sync4A but that did nothing.

Happened to me the other day. Pressed Nav and nothing, big ole blank screen.

A reset of the SYNC fixed it for us.

Hey there! I can look into your Mach-E’s navigation concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Happened to me as well after the latest PowerUp. Resolved itself within a day or two. I rarely use it around town, so might've been sooner. Also have had numerous other software anomalies since. FYI, @Ford Motor Company

Follow-up; after getting a case number and a call from someone at Ford, they said the issue isn't related to my recent OTA and to take it in for service. Hopefully there are some DTCs that might indicate what's the problem.

Is it still doing it?
Can you use voice commands and ask for weather forecast and then see if navigation works?

If I ask for weather, it doesn't acknowledge I said anything. If I ask to drive somewhere (i.e., "where's the nearest charger"), it responses "Sorry, the navigation system is still loading".

Here's an update for anyone in the future who may have this occur. A forum member put me in touch with Ford's Sync team who got the navi working using a new OTA. I don't have all the details, but the cause did appear to be the prior OTA which messed up some code deep in the system. They're investigating since there are checks in place to keep exactly that from happening.
