I didn't get an email from Ford but when I checked my status online, it now says 2023 select instead of a 22. They even changed my color to Vapor Blue since my original order was the Iced Blue. I guess they figured I still wanted some type of blue. I am upset about losing the comfort package. Price is the same.
Same here …

Just looking at the title of this thread puts an image into my mind of some guy wearing a trench coat, wearing a hat pulled low over his eyes. “Hey lady, I got a ‘special offer’ fer ya!” ???

I have owned multiple fords over the last 20 years, including my fusion hybrid for the last 8.5. They’ve always been good to me, but this situation with converting orders and getting no explanation about what is going on, either from ford or their clueless salespeople, really makes it hard to give them anymore of my money. I know theres plenty of people lining up for these cars so I mean nothing to them, but I expected better. Silly me!

My 2/16 Premium AWD order has been converted to 2023 without a price change in the portal as well. I contacted my dealer in SoCal, they said Ford is not doing price protection and told me I can cancel my order for a full refund. I believe they are convincing people to cancel the order so that they can sell the vehicle with high ADM.

I got a '2023 Mustang Mach-E Premium Order Confirmation' from Ford without any private offer. Hope they send something soon.

No, the dealer wouldn't get your car. It has not even been scheduled for production yet; if the order is canceled, it never gets built. If you cancel after production begins, the car does go to the dealer. At least, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Yep - sounds like they're fishing for a vehicle to mark up. I'd contact Ford directly to see what's up. Seems like a lot of dealers have done automatic conversions on the 2022's - probably hoping to push people into placing a 2023 order instead and keeping the extra allocation and ADM - lousy!

There are a lot of posts about dealers converting from priority code 99 to 1 without obtaining signature or acceptance.

Why would the dealer cancel the order instead of just taking the extra allocation?

Really? If u ordered in March and it told you 28 weeks we should’ve not expected it this year anyway? Right. Then they should have not taken the orders.
This has been covered many times, but it never said “28 weeks.”

It did say “28+ weeks.”

Seems minor, but that + means everything. It means 28 is the minimum it could take.

That’s why ordering in March you could expect October delivery at the earliest, “with a chance” you wouldn’t get it this year.

There are no 2023 Blazer EVs. The Blazer EV is introduced as a 2024 model. Still available to reserve BTW.
I put an order in for a 2024 Blazer RS. They said expect a late summer or early fall delivery.

Ah that makes sense. But either way, switching to a Blazer EV to get it sooner isn’t an option at this point. Unlikely to be able to order one of those today and get it before 2024.

You mean why would the dealer choose not to commit fraud and violate its dealer agreement? Why, there could be any number of reasons...

Call me cynical, I guess. I must have less faith in all dealers doing everything above board.
