Update - TSB 22-2343 has been released to better address this issue.
SSM 51057 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E, 2022 Escape/Bronco Sport/Maverick/Transit - Powertrain Malfunction (Wrench) Indicator With DTC P0929:77 Stored In The GSM
Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E, 2022 Escape/Bronco Sport/Maverick/Transit vehicles may exhibit a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0929:77 stored in the gear shift module (GSM). This may be due to the software in the GSM. To correct this condition, reprogram the GSM module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 7P155 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
----End SSM----
P0929:77 - Gear Shift Lock Solenoid/Actuator Circuit 'A' Range/Performance: Commanded Position Not Reachable - This DTC indicates the GSM was unable to lock the rotary knob in the Park position.
This likely corresponds to the GSM update that showed up last Friday. I've seen this code a few times, seems like it happens more often with GTs for some reason. Low 12V battery voltage may cause it. Previously some GSMs were being replaced for this code, but now there's a software fix.
