Can't deal with the bouncy ride anymore after two weeks with the Mach-E. What do I do?

Maybe your 2.5 month old falling asleep proves it is a rocky ride
She falls asleep in both of our cars ? I think she falls asleep better in the Mach E because it's so much quieter

And we do have expansion cracks and I do feel them, but I've felt them about the same amount in every other car I've driven too. So maybe I'm just basic haha?

So 2 weeks and 185 miles in Premium AWD ER, driving almost exclusively on less than perfect roads in downtown Chicago, mixed feelings, but getting used to it. I’m bothered the most by cross-car body roll, which is borderline unacceptable for a $60k car. Like others mentioned, bounciness is largely dependent on road conditions and speed. I was a bit disappointed the first week with how the car drove, but found myself adjusting speed a bit to manage bounciness and body roll. I hope it settles in a bit after a few thousand miles.

I don’t think any EV is perfect at the moment, and the MME is probably the best compromise for my particular situation, despite the bounciness issues.

Depends on what you let bother you. My wife feels it but ignores it. Thanks to this forum I feel it and it annoys me.

Problem with forums!!!

You could try the Steeda sway bar. In theory it should make a big difference with body roll. I haven't installed mine yet but others have reported improvement.

The vendor informed me we have until 12:00 PM EASTERN TODAY to close out any remaining orders on the KW V3 Coilover Group Buy. This is your last chance to get rock-bottom pricing on an elite suspension package for the Mach-E.

Don't be wishy washy and buy a set! You know you want to!

I want to do it but I cannot justify it to my wife right now. And I still have that Steeda sway bar to install. And finish my backup beeper volume control project.

Anyway, thank you for setting this up. I might be doing it in about a year, unless someone comes out with an adjustable shock first.

Not sure if it has been posted in this thread or not (lots to read) but does anyone have issues with highway stability when it's really windy? My wife says she notices she is all over the road when it's windy. Nothing bad or non livable but annoying nonetheless. Anyone have a similar experience?

Nobody that I am aware of has reported that. And I spend way too much time on this Forum.

Yeah, I didn't think so. I dig around for a while and didn't see anything close to it. I'll just have to drive it and see.

i just came home from a 80 trip from upstate NY, that is 80 miles each way.

we had a full load, 5 adults.

my wife was in the back seat, a combination of secondary roads, 35-55 mph and a little bit of highway at 70 mph.

my wife was not happy, she said she felt every single bump. Bottom line, ride in back seat was horrible. If I remember correctly my friends Tesla S was horrible when I sat in the back seat. Maybe it just EVs because of the battery.

I will need to try out the BMW or maybe Genesis to compare.

I didnt find the front seat horrible, but did notice a lot of expansion joints.

tires, Coilovers , different car?
need to think of long term solution.

If you want to make the investment, I suggest you try the Steeda front and rear sway bars. I think they will help with the ride. They are not designed to improve straight line comfort, but in my GT they did improve it somewhat. I am not sure how much better it will be on a Premium, but it is a cheaper option than spending $4,000 on coilovers.

I already have the rear sway bars on. Will do the front at some point. I know someone had an issue with installing them on a premium. I have to circle back.

I know it needs the Coilovers or something similar just hesitant to make the change. I have to look back and read the reviews of people who had K&W installed on a premium

I just realized why my wife complained about the ride more than normal.

not only did she sit in the back seat, she sat in the middle of the back seat.

I don’t think any person would have a good experience in the middle of the rear seat unless you are in an S MB or similar car.

I sold my GT and the last two days I drive a Volvo S60 plug in hybrid and the difference in ride quality is huge. I had forgotten how it is to be in a car that has a normal suspension. I can have passengers again in the rear seat without them complaining about the ride quality. The GT had the worst suspension I ever had in a car in this price range.

The middle seat should be less bouncy, right? The other four seats in the car are closer to being directly above the wheels.
