Anyone rotate their tires yet?

I have experience doing this for an ICE, but not an EV. I am worried I will jack it up at the wrong point and mess up the battery. Has anyone successfully done this? Do I need any special equipment (besides a standard jack and torque wrench) or should I just take it to the Ford dealer?

I would take it to a Ford Dealer.

Also, many member have lifted using a floor jack and a piece of 2x4.

I have rotated my tires three times with 7K on the odometer (most recently when I installed the Steeda anti-sway bars). I have lift pucks for my stands and a load spreader for my jack. Easy-peasy. ??

Took mine in for the 10K service, they recommended not rotating tires as they were wearing even all the way around at this point and time and to check again at 20K

When I've interacted with the various national tire sales companies, e.g. Discount/American, Tire Rack, etc... they were aware of the MME and specifically the tire load rating requirements, the lift points, and the lug torque requirements. Going to them, or a local Ford dealership will submit you to the same amount of risk for the tech not implementing these, and further the responsibility of repair should this happen.

Amen to this, use a tire tread gauge (or tape measure) and verify you even need to do this service. If it’s even wear you don’t need to expend the effort or money.

That’s as rare as finding a barber who tells you that you don’t really need a haircut! ?

You can go to other locations, I went to America’s Tire (called Discount Tire elsewhere), and they had a special EV lift in one of their bays that they used for my Mach-E.

Was the EV lift just like a swole version of the regular lifts?

I’m actually not sure. I didn’t know beforehand. I asked them how they got the vehicle back to me so quick, and that’s when they said they had a special EV lift that they had used and I guess I must have jumped the line for it.

They also didn’t charge me because they said they liked the Mach-E so much - I think they hadn’t worked on too many yet. (I had not bought tires from them for this vehicle previously).
