Can anyone tell me how to PERMANENTLY turn off the internal sensors? I keep turning them off in the settings, they come right back on. I put tape over what I think are the sensors and they still go off. It's getting very irritating that every time I take my dog with me the alarms go off constantly

Try leaving the car running when you dash into a store with the dog still in the car. Go into settings and turn off the 30 minute countytimer if necessary. Lock tge doors and leave the ac running at the desired temps.

Not sure you can. There is a thread where there are directions on how to cover them so they do not operate.

I have taped over the same areas. I’m missing a sensor somewhere.

There are three I think. One in the middle somewhere. I do not recall the thread but it does Identify them.

  1. Did you cover the 3rd sensor in the center?
  2. Is your dog heavy enough to wiggle the car and set off the tilt sensor?

This is a known issue that Ford has not addressed yet.

Yeah they either don't care, don't believe it's actually an issue, or they have no idea how to fix it. One of the three. We've seen dozens of people complain about it since product launch with no resolution in almost two years.

I understand in the UK they can't disable the sensors because it would jeopardize the Thatcham Security Certification, but we should be able to in the USA. The fricking option is there, why doesn't it work?

Didn’t they say it works as intended?

Yeah, I don't remember exactly either but that was hilarious. Clearly they never actually tested it or had no idea what they were talking about.
It’s the equivalent of the door close button in an elevator, doesn’t do anything lol
