Steeda Front Sway Bar! It is awesome. Transforms the car into what it should be.

@kennethjk . Yes, I posted last week (27-Sep).

Tim indicated that no modification will be done to the future sway bars but the instructions will be updated to say something like: "The end links need to be clocked differently than stock to allow for proper clearance."

I did point him to the forum, twice, indicating that it was an issue. Looks like we are on our own and simply need to cut the ends. If you buy the bar to use on the softest setting, then you will be either sending it back or going to stiffer setting, after cutting the end off.

Well today was finally the day: front and rear swap bar installation in Mark's amazing shop. OEM bars came off as easily as could be hoped for (no mishaps and hugely aided by Mark's awesome lift), and Steeda bars installed really smoothly and easily. To my surprise the job up from was much easier than the job in the rear, aided by the easy access to the end link nuts and the mounting brackets once the front tires were removed.

Set everything to the stiffest holes front and back and so far, me like! I drove 132 miles home from Mark's without stopping though unfortunately the majority of that was on roads that didn't allow the bars to really show their stuff. But on the roads that did, OMG they're great. I feel so much more confident corning at speed, the car is flatter and there is definitely less bounce. The suspension is stiff, and you feel the bumps, but pretty much gone is the harmonic crap that all too often gave me a queasy stomach. I will plan to take it out of some of the more challenging Bay Area twisties to see how it compares to the OEM bar days. I'll report back once I do.

No installation shots since so many have documented the process already, but here's a short video inside Mark's wonderful garage as Joy Heads Up...

A huge thank you to @markboris for all your help and hospitality. Mark helped me (in most cases did the majority of the work) install a total of six different types of mods/updates. People like you restore my faith in humanity. Thank you.
@JohnFoxeSheets Thanks for the very kind offer. My schedule is such that I will not be installing these until late October or early November. It will drive me nuts, seeing these in my garage knowing that I do not have time to install them. I am good on the tools and I have the means to cut and grind them too. When I know a date and if I think I need help, I will reach out to you. I may just jump on them on Friday evening. I most likely will take up @HuntingPudel on his offer and "borrow" a little bit of his spray paint to touch up the ends. I can find some time to cut them before my installation.

They said same to me

I was hoping to have them do the install but it looks like that’s not going to be so I may pass on the purchase altogether or I will just cut them and have another shop install

Have to decide

This is very disappointing. It reminds me of how Ford has handled the HVBJB issue.

I did a very positive review of the front sway bar posted on the Steeda web site. That was before we learned about the interference issue. I am considering updating my review to include this issue. Thoughts?

I agree

They really shouldn’t ignore this issue

One thing I noticed about the install instructions is they reference a need for a Torx socket. Well, I got my Torx sockets (female) out when I was getting my other tools thinking I’d be organized and found that you need a Torx bit (male) to deal with the factory end links. I’m under the car cussing: “F@&$ing backward-@$$ $#!+.” ??

Make sure you are using bits! ??

William, if you want the paint, let me know. I will bring it to the Cars & Coffee event later this month. If you can’t make it to that event I can swing by your place to drop it off since I’ll probably be dropping by Andy’s place anyhow. ??

Mike, that is your call. It might get their attention more that the emails sent by us but it may also burn your bridge with them.

When your time frees up and you'd like help, just let me know. I'm by no means an expert, but having just done the job with Mark, I think I can be of use. I waited a bit over a month to do my installation and trust me, it was totally worth the wait! ?

So was considering getting these but held off until my warranty is done. Funny enough hear a noise coming from the undercarriage of the car 2 weeks ago. Finally went for my appointment this morning and low and behold, links on both sides broken after 26K miles so. Will still hold off but for those of you wanting to upgrade, it might not be a bad idea. Hopefully you guys will have a fix for the rubbing soon. I don't like the idea of having to grind new parts for them to fit.

I should maybe just clarify that I strongly believe that both links breaking is an indication of the state of the roads in my city more than a condemning statement regarding the reliability of the car

The Steeda front bar comes with its own adjustable end links that are beefier than the factory ones. The rear bar uses the factor links. ??
