You had me at "Ventilated Front Seats"!!!
I keep mentioning this car to my wife who is due for a new car in a year or two. She doesn't seem to have the same enthusiasm for EVs as I do. :(

If this thing is as comfortable as a normal Caddy; heck I may consider it. I had to laugh with this kid (was he even 30) referred to the brand as essentially old and outdated (LOL); probably like most of us on this forum.

Was everyone as surprised to see the depth of the hidden storage in the trunk area. Perfect so the groceries are not sloshing around the hatch. That what I use my Frunk for now with the MME.

I have essentially gotten used to the more "firm" ride of the EV's now with 15 months ownership of my MME. That being said; I'd like to check out the ride of the Caddy and if they solved the firmness or bumpiness I'd consider it.
You’re correct about Marques, he’s only 28 🤣 And speaking as someone under 40, his description of the brand perception by younger generations is pretty accurate honestly. I think it’s a good sign for Cadillac that younger folks are reacting well to this car, brand image not withstanding.

It's not. They've only sold something like 178(?). That's the number under the current recall/stop sale. Almost every vehicle is covered under an NDA, which is why we haven't seen an objective review yet (still no charging tests, including the review above).
Ah……. The good old review embargo.

We definitely remember that with the Mach E GT!

The tech and some features that we don’t have look nice on the Lyriq.

Cooled and massaging seats that are real leather? Super jealous of those Seats.

If it weren’t slow, ugly and didn’t handle horribly, I might be interested.

It's very much a wagon (in person). It would compliment a MME as a family hauler but would not be a sporty replacement.

Ventilated seats and interior quality are pros above the MachE.
No frunk though? Unironically almost a deal breaker.

I keep forgetting I have a frunk…… and a frunk button.

Only times I’ve used it was when I first got it to show people I have a frunk.

Looks like a cool car, if I were looking for a luxury suv I would buy a Genius GV60
Why? What’s the comparison between this and the genesis? This appears to be superior functionally?

Probably not getting one at the MSRP price point. Can’t imagine how it’s profitable for GM either.
Why not?

Why are vehicles sold covered under an NDA? I’ve never heard of such a thing?

The other one I like a bunch is the Polestar 3. Gonna watch the launch event in October 12th

We almost bought the Polestar 2 instead of the Tesla for my husband, but it just didn't stack up well against it. We try rent a Polestar 2 when we travel if we can to stay electric and he always says he's glad he didn't go with the Polestar because of how awful Android Automotive seems to run (if it runs at all - rentals only worked half the time). Guess there's an issue with the LTE module that is known to break? Not to mention no internal storage space and the lack of a 2nd cup holder outside of the center console. Also has a tiny frunk and the seat material wasn't great. It's not quite as fun to drive, either. I personally dislike the look of the Tesla compared to the P2, but it was his car. I'd be interested in the Polestar 3 if it qualified for the federal tax credit since I'm more of a SUV/CUV kinda gal. Hopefully they designed the interior of the P3 to fix those issues. Definitely love the look otherwise!

I watched a Jay Leno's garage review of it and the part where they shoot it from in front clearly showed the suspension to be so soft it reminded me of the caddy's of the 60's.

I’d like to know a bit more about the performance - you know, 0-60 kind of thing. Does this have the acceleration of my Mustang Mach E AWD ER (or better). The lack of a frunk is a huge negative. The seats (heated, ventilated, massaging, and more degrees of movement) are huge positives. GM is the only other manufacturer to offer proper hands-free cruise control besides Ford (and theirs is currently more full-featured). The price point, assuming GM dealers don’t play ADM games, is very compelling (go look at Lincoln Black Label pricing for comparison). I think this would be reasonable for Lincoln to do a feature and pricing benchmark against for their EV offering.

I travel, if I were to buy a different EV a requirement would be that is 800v. I would also use the adapter to power 110v items from the HVB

Android automotive is completely different now. And keep in mind Ford has announced they are switching to it. The version that was in the Polestar 2 was the beta version. They launched a new version a few months ago.

I get the 800V. The Lyriq has a 110V outlet though so you can power 110V items (that’s one thing I missed going from my Escape to my Mustang Mach E).
