It's not a matter of trim level. It's a matter of build date. Cars built in the first half of 2021 don't have a frunk button (yet).
My guess they are waiting for next big OTA inhibit update to include BCM and GFM and whatever else they can throw in there instead of doing a bunch in a row like the BlueCruise series.

You can have two phones simultaneously connected over BT. Neither can have Apple Car play turned on at the same time though. Tried it with my wife’s phone last night. It worked as expected once Car Play was off. Pretty slick feature. You get a little number on the phone tile indicating how many phones are connected. I hope once I drive off though I do not get the disconnect notice. Have not tried thst yet.
But what if one of the phones is connected using CarPlay (or Android Auto)? Will the second call connect? Can you dial out on the second phone? Is this only a feature for those that don't use CarPlay or AA?

I thought you had your Lightning already? It does the same thing on both the Lightning and Mach-E now.
Yes. I received the feature in the Lightning first and haven't figured out how it works differently, if at all. That's why I'm asking.

It's been a very long wait for a PowerUp promised for delivery in Q3 of 2021.

I believe that only one phone can use CarPlay at a time. other than that all the other calling and texting features work.

So if one phone is connected on CarPlay the other phone has full features? How do you call out or text on the second phone?

That I don't know cause I've only ever answered calls, not made them. I'm much too busy messing with the HVAC controls...

I actually likedthe climate controls the way they were. I don’t think they needed to put the AC button on the main screen, in the 11 years I have owned a car with auto climate control I have never touched the AC button. The new icon to bring up the climate screen looks out of place with the rest of the UI now too, it’s too bold compared to the rest of the cars iconography. I like that most of the cars climate was hidden in a second menu, I never touch anything but the temp and heated wheel, so why clutter the screen with more stuff.
In our other cars yes, we never touch it, our highlander has been set year round on Auto at 70 degrees. But with the EV it makes such a range difference its handy, so all these New England days between 50-70 degrees, I leave the fan on low, with heat and AC off.

Does it though? The AC uses very little power, especially compared to the heat. How much range do you gain by turning it off?

I would like a heat button on the main screen because the car randomly turns it on, which significantly reduces efficiency. Many times I don't need E-Heat yet the car thinks I do and turns it on.

The only way I know that has happened is by opening the climate control screen. It would be so much more convenient if I could see the E-Heat status on the main display and turn it off when my car thinks it is smarter than me.

Make a third profile, this fixed this bug for me a year ago, it seems to be showing up more for folks now.
I will try that if it keeps happening.
