No Ford, I can honestly say in the UK we have heard of none of that.

Wait, so the Frunk release under access (which is the first screen I get when I tap the vehicle icon in the top left) is not doing it for folks?

Are they asking for a button on the home screen or fixed icon at the bottom of the display?

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a Frunk release button under Access (or anywhere else).

I agree with you 100%. The climate controls are a shit show in this car. Overly and unnecessarily complicated. So much so I have to adjust before I start driving. Learning to live with it. Maybe Ford will hire a UI guru and eventually revamp the whole thing.

Oh, can we adjust the climate by voice? I've never tried.

Nope. Doesn’t exist for MY21 Job 1 (except for a few intrepid hackers).

I noticed this after 3.5.3.3 also. Will continue to monitor this week since maybe they fixed it with 3.5.4.

It started with 3.2.1. Was really bad on 3.2.1. I had to reboot sync every time I got in the car to get my profile to be selectable.

The failure rate was somewhat reduced with 3.3.1 and greatly reduced starting with 3.5.2.

At this point it only happens every 20th-30th time I start the car.

I miss the days prior to the 3.x.x updates when it just worked.

I actually likedthe climate controls the way they were. I don’t think they needed to put the AC button on the main screen, in the 11 years I have owned a car with auto climate control I have never touched the AC button. The new icon to bring up the climate screen looks out of place with the rest of the UI now too, it’s too bold compared to the rest of the cars iconography. I like that most of the cars climate was hidden in a second menu, I never touch anything but the temp and heated wheel, so why clutter the screen with more stuff.

So what does Advanced Dual Phone actually do?

You can have two phones simultaneously connected over BT. Neither can have Apple Car play turned on at the same time though. Tried it with my wife’s phone last night. It worked as expected once Car Play was off. Pretty slick feature. You get a little number on the phone tile indicating how many phones are connected. I hope once I drive off though I do not get the disconnect notice. Have not tried thst yet.

So what does Advanced Dual Phone actually do?

I thought you had your Lightning already? It does the same thing on both the Lightning and Mach-E now. It lets two people connect their phones to the car at the same time, like for taking calls, text notifications etc. When my wife and I are in the Mach-E together now it will ring if a call comes in for either of us and can be answered.

I just drove home from dinner at my father in-law's house. No check mark. But the car refused to select my profile, or any profile other than Guest. I guess that is the new feature. Not what I was hoping for. ?

Make a third profile, this fixed this bug for me a year ago, it seems to be showing up more for folks now.

the Air circulation button would have been nice on the Home Screen

I tried a few times but I could not figure out a syntax they were looking for.

You can tell Alexa to turn off AC, set temperature to X degrees. Will not turn on/off heated seats. Those are all that I tried yesterday and they worked fine.

Well that sucks! And is profundly stupid on Ford's part. Now I get what all the chatter is about. I was unaware. I have to admit I really did not pay much attention to what is included on the Premium.

It's not a matter of trim level. It's a matter of build date. Cars built in the first half of 2021 don't have a frunk button (yet).

Someone else will need to verify that this works, but based on Ford's description, it will allow the car to remain connected to up to TWO Bluetooth phones instead of just one at a time.

So either connected phone can receive a phone call through the car's speaker, or show a text message on the SYNC display, etc.

Only one can be connected at a time for music or handle voice assistant requests (Siri, Google).

So the real question I have is this: if I'm connected to the vehicle using CarPlay and a call comes in to my wife's phone, will it come up on the Sync 4A screen using Bluetooth? Also, if I'm connected to the vehicle using CarPlay and my wife wants to make a call using the Sync 4A screen can she do so?
