I've RTFM, flipped through all the setting screens I could find, and driven the new MME a bit, but there are still some things confounding me. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Starting with the manual, it says there are data-active USB ports in three places:
• On the lower instrument panel.
• Inside the media bin.
• Inside the center console.
I've only found the two below the touchscreen. Manual accuracy issue or am I still missing them?

Related, how do I play mp3s off a thumb drive. I've tried two different drives pulled from other cars with AA on and off, no luck.

Similarly, how do I start the native navigation?

Lastly, where are the settings to set a default charge level for AC & DC charging. Don't see them on the app or in-car options.

1. USB ports are below the screen and on the back of the console (for rear seat passenger use). The third set was never added. Sadly, the manual was written before the car was made.

2.There is no way to set a default charge level. If you want anything less than 100%, you have to set the max charge level for specific locations. No default allowed.

To start native navigation, click on the tile on the secondary portion of the screen (assuming it is minimized and sitting there). If the nav has not been started yet then touch the icon at top center and then select nav.

Not clear what this means. Can you clarify?
It means that for reasons no one can comprehend, Ford only allows you to set a maximum charge for places where you’ve already charged. I.e., the first time you charge at a new location, you’ll need to stop the charge manually at whatever level you want. Once you’ve charge at a new location, then you can set up a charge maximum for that location. And by location, I mean GPS coordinates…

Stupid? You betcha!

Many users charge their vehicles daily and at the same location (or same small group of locations) such as work, home, vacation home etc. If the owner programs those as a saved location then the vehicle will be allowed to set a time schedule and charge limit for each of those locations. The car also remembers where it has charged previously so all you have to do is charge somewhere once and then you can program it with a name that means something to you.

If you are charging at a new or unusual location then chances are that you are also on a road trip so the default charge setting is to begin charging right away and to 100% displayed.

Insert the drive, activate voice commands and say Play USB. Should be a way to enable via the Sync screen also. I think if you look through the Ford.com "How To pages" you will find basic info on the Sync4A user interface, good luck.

Bonus, you can also play FLAC format (as well as .AVI. MK4, MKV and a few others, but it doesn't show videos (yet))

To play, either push the voice button on the steering wheel (Play Steely Dan, or Play IGY) or press your profile button on the top middle of the screen, and look for the USB Symbol with the name of the USB stick and tap that)
