LAS VEGAS, Nov. 1, 2022 – Ford has teamed up with leading aftermarket builders and parts manufacturers to deliver 10 unique versions of its hottest vehicles, highlighting the ways customers can personalize their rides with hundreds of Ford Performance Parts and Ford Licensed Accessories.

"We designed Ford vehicles to be easier to customize, with installation points and aftermarket accessories engineered from the start of the design process," said Eric Cin, Ford global director, vehicle personalization, accessories, and licensing. "We work actively with the aftermarket to share our product designs so customers can personalize and put the finishing touches on their vehicle to make it all their own."

Ford’s personalization and accessories business has grown 40 percent in the last two years, providing customers the opportunity to create experiences beyond the point of vehicle sale. To date, retailers have sold more than 1 million factory-backed accessories for Bronco, the most accessorized vehicle in the Ford lineup.

Here are complete details of the SEMA vehicles. Those interested can also visit this link for a full overview of the vehicle builds. Most aftermarket accessories used in this year’s vehicles will be available for purchase, except for custom parts. The Ford Vehicle Personalization team has created two custom, one-off vehicle builds featuring a multitude of Ford Accessories and Ford Performance Parts. Ford F-150 Lightning and Maverick were selected to showcase the best of the best in vehicle personalization.

Highlighted Ford accessories can be purchased from a local Ford dealer or ordered online for direct delivery. Customers have the option of having the parts installed at a dealership or on their own. Parts purchased with the vehicle can also be rolled into the customer’s monthly vehicle payment.

Starting with a dual-motor 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with mountains of electric torque and all-wheel drive, the Tucci Hot Rods vehicle is widened with a muscular custom lift-gate spoiler, fender arches with Tucci-made 3D-printed fender flares, vacuum-formed transparent wheel covers and a 3D-printed front lip, while a Kay Automotive custom graphics wrap brings significant style.

This Tucci vehicle wears Ford Accessories sill plates, door emblems, and GT badged tailgate. The cabin sports a Ford Accessories 140-degree dash cam, two Recaro® seats, racing harnesses with custom harness bar and custom-painted trim accents. Everything comes together for an aggressive look on a platform ripe for customization.

From what I can tell, you basically have to add fender flares when your new wheels and tires stick out 2 inches out of the well.

And what about the suspension? It does look lowered. Maybe some shocks with better damping are coming soon?

Aero covers on the wheels! Too bad they didn’t show the rear spoiler. I hope it’s a true spoiler and not an extension of the sun shade. ??

From what I can tell, you basically have to add fender flares when your new wheels and tires stick out 2 inches out of the well.

Sure, that's one way to do it. Another is to widebody the vehicle with new front fenders and rear quarters, like my Shelby. It's got 20x13's with 345's tucked in the back.

This looks really cool and it is great to see companies modifying the MME. It may have a trickle down effect to the consumer (i.e. aftermarket parts). I hope that someone goes beyond the cosmetic changes and does something that improves the performance, even if it is a one off modification. Perhaps remove the 5 second rule, put quad motors on the car, change the power curve, better handling, etc. I saw the pictures of the Shelby MME but have not seen any details on performance improvements that will be a part of the car.

Would be great to see "hot rod" shops developing performance parts or even ability to modify. The ICE cars can do anything from new peformance chips, exhaust all the way to engine swaps. In ten years when our batteries need to be replaced, would it not be great to see someone that can revitalize, update and improve the performance on the batteries. Have more range, more power and no damn limites. Perhaps, swap out the motors so that we can get more power, and a high top speed. Oh, to drive on the Autobahn next to a Porsche, hit the accelerator and leave it reading taillights. ?

They decided to make the aero covers transparent. I guess it's a clear version similar to the Rotiform aerodiscs, except you can see the wheels underneath.

The only powertrain mod is listed as "Tucci Hot Rods custom frunk mounted ice box to chill coolant". I wonder with the additional cooling they remove the timer ? wish they had more photos posted; I'm sure they will come later.

I think you misunderstood me. I meant that they added aero, seats, but ??? for performance? I suppose you could argue that the aero would have a performance benefit, but I was really hoping to hear about the flux capacitors.
