I am noticing that when I am using CarPlay that my music, playing through Spotify, stutters when I press any button on CarPlay to do anything.
It just feels unpolished let alone annoying.
Anyone else have this issue? I have tried resetting CarPlay from my phone.

I usually use wireless CarPlay, but have used wired on occasion without issues. Have you tried rebooting the sync screen?

No, I haven’t. Does the system reset/reboot whenever the car turns off/turns on again or is this something I have to do manually?

Manually. On the right side of your steering wheel press the volume down and the next track buttons and hold them until the main screen reboots. Car needs to be on.

Okay I’ll try this and report back. I did use wireless CarPlay but same problem. I assumed it was the wireless part hence the switch to using the cable.

I don’t use the charge mat. I have a spigen phone mount on my sync screen, my phone gets hot when in the sun, but that’s all.

Hi Jacky. Can you send us a DM with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into this for you.

I've heard of this a few times on here and on reddit, but I've never experienced it myself and I exclusively use CarPlay wirelessly and sometimes wired. People who reported issues, It seems to happen with the Spotify app, so that may be an issue.

You can make sure you have wireless projection turned off on the Phone selection screen so it's exclusively streaming over the USB port, see if that does anything.

Hmm interesting. My phone gets decently hot when I use wireless CP. I have a case on my phone so it’s not from wireless charging when I put my phone in the charging mat.

As I posted in another thread, it's happening with me too, except with Wireless Android Auto. Happened last year, went away around October/November 2021, and now it's back after I got a bunch of OTA's over the past couple of weeks. Audio will cut out for split-second every minute or so. Using it wired fixes the issue, so it's a wireless issue that was fixed and then un-fixed with new updates.

For me it happens with YouTube Music and Sirius, the only two apps I use for streaming in the car. I don't think it's an app issue.

Depending on the case you can wirelessly charge through it; but if you don’t see a charge indication you’re absolutely correct.

Does the phone also get hot if you don’t put it in the charge spot?
