Ditto.Having a hard time seeing how this would be a helpful thing...
Like a robot back-seat driver? This sounds aggressively annoying. If they really want to perfect the technology, I recommend they have the robot announce the lane change suggestion using the driver's spouse's whiniest nagging voice.I do like the idea that it will suggest a lane change if we are behind slower traffic. That could be pretty cool.
Video please, so I really cement my jealousy!!!Experimenting with my new 23 MME: Lane Change Assist appears on my Sync Screen (under Adaptive Cruise Control screen area). Toggle it on. Here is how it works: On highway, put on turn signal, the car then tells you when it is safe to change lanes and begins to move car into the lane you signaled. As this happens you will see a blue line appear with curve showing car moving into the other lane. Then when it gets there, you turn off the turn signal. All done hands free. Pretty cool new feature. If you are coming up on slower traffic, it will tell you/suggest to you that a lane change to go around them is possible. Just activate your turn signal and car will do the rest hands free.
It even works when only the blue bubble is active, without bluecruise being active.
Yes, it's part of BlueCruise 1.2.I assume that while it works with Adaptive Cruise (in addition to BlueCruise), this feature will not be available in cars that do not have BC. Does everyone agree this is correct? Seems like lane change would need all the sensors required for BC.
Actually yes, they did, way back when the vehicle was launched, they touted this as a future feature. I expect to receive it before my frunk release to be honest.Has Ford said that?
In early 2023? I don't remember them saying that. And if they did, that would translate to 2024 or later in Ford time.Actually yes, they did, way back when the vehicle was launched, they touted this as a future feature.
No.Does the '23 have any additional cameras/sensors over its predecessors for this to work?
