So I watched the linked video and the order guide changes he is calling "23.5" is just BlueCruise 1.2 (which 23 Mach-E's already shipped with) being specifically mentioned on the order guide.

The things he called out as changes are all features that 23's shipped with already:
  • Lane Change Assist
  • Lane Centering
  • Speed Assist with BlueCruise

Yea, the new Blue Cruise is turn the car on and off 10 times, drive it for a half hour, make sure it’s 100% charged, hooked up to Wi-Fi, make sure it’s not raining, make sure the e brake is on, make sure vehicle connectivity has a drop down, make sure to make sure it still doesn’t work after that.

I haven't looked at it yet, but what's the date on the order guide?

He didnt show it on screen. He was just reading the changes that he noticed.

The version on this forum from August 2022 does not mention BlueCruise 1.2, but people who have received their MY23's do have it already. So BlueCruise 1.2 may well be new on the order guide but is not new to MY 23's.

That is odd, maybe they were updated post production, or in transit?

I looked at it and it's 1/2/23, production stopped completely from Jan to mid February, can't imagine it's anything other than maybe LFP changeover? Guess we'll find out in March or so

I suspect it could be Ford didn’t know in August if the 1.2 update would be ready so they left the guide generic.

Could be, but why the plant shutdown then?
Don’t know. Maybe re-working the lines to improve capacity? I think the update on 150,000 Mach-E’s mentioned an expansion to the plant.

I don’t know what MY23.5 entails - but it’s not BlueCruise 1.2.

If it was anything functional to the vehicles they would need customer approval on changes I think?

I have a build that has stopped. Folks in my build week 12/19 have seen their cars ship. Only difference I can see is I was getting a standard range battery. Makes me wonder if they ran out and I’m part the change over? My dealer called and said he was told it could be delayed weeks. (Ordered 3/11/22)

Yes. But Ford has not specifically confirmed that BC 1.2 will come to older models. I believe that it will eventually. Ford is likely just getting smarter about throwing dates out there that they never meet.
I thought Ford did specifically say that BC 1.2 features, such as lane change would be coming to all Mustang Mach Es? Soon (TM) ?

Ford said a long time ago that features like lane change would come to MMEs in the future. Then, more recently, they announced BlueCruise 1.2 for the 2023 MME and conspicuously left out any mention of it coming to older models. Does that mean it's definitely coming to older models? No, but I think it will. Ford was careful not to promise it or put any time frame on it, so I certainly wouldn't count on it any time soon.

Really ?

I heard from another thread that the '23 are missing the AM radio band...

That would be great if I can keep my AM radio channels.

I know, many people here say "why would use an antiquated radio"......
What's a radio? ?

I wonder if this will introduce the new infotainment (Android Automotive OS) or something. If so, that'd be unfortunate timing.
My understanding of Android Automotive (not to be confused with Android Auto - because the names are so dissimilar ? - Alphabet morons) is that the former is fully embedded within the car's systems while Android Auto is simply an app for a lighter level of smartphone integration.

It can definitely get confusing. Sync is currently Ford's version of Automotive. The whole Sync/Android combo reminds me of how Samsung puts One UI over stock Android on phones and tablets.

At any rate, the one thing I want is any and all available mapping to be connected to the MME's SOC. That way routing will be BEV specific complete with DCFC locations along the way.

Oh, I’m expecting it with my frunk release?
