Charge port and...I'm a moron

Several times, I've unplugged, jumped in the MME, started the car...only to be greeted with the "You are a moron...you left the charge port door open" alert. Based on my actions today, I'm here to report that I must be worse than a moron...as I attempted to leave the garage while the MME was still plugged in. Fortunately, I can confirm that this section of the manual is correct (doh!):

I did my first DC charging session yesterday. I did not push a button to release the plug. OOPS. Double moron. Somehow it released?? Hope I didn't ruin anything.

Ford should remove that “no driving while plugged in” limitation. It would provide unlimited range, albeit in a very limited region.
