Is there a way to pre-condition interior prior to leaving without going through the entire scheduling process?

It's cold here in Chicago during the winter. Would be nice to be able to use the App to tell Mach E we're going to leaving the restaurant, or whatever, in 15 minutes so it can precondition the passenger compartment.
Does anyone know how to accomplish that feat?

Remote start from FordPass app or Apple Watch will warm the passenger compartment. You can do this from any distance from the car.

Note: it is not called precondition because remote start does nothing to warm the battery. When you schedule a departure time, then the battery is preconditioned.

Is it possible to precondition the battery prior to departure without setting up a scheduled departure time in the App?

The scheduled departure feature works well for folks that leave for work on a set schedule, etc. However, as a retiree, I don't have a set driving schedule.

No.

And it’s a bit of a sore subject on here.

But in reality you would only need to precondition the battery if you needed max range on a road trip. So you would know about it ahead of time, in most cases. If you are just driving locally there’s no need to precondition the battery.
