Got another update from Ford and got excited to see this email:

Now it's April ETA- wondering now if I should skip on it since the IRS battery tax credit will certainly be done by then.

It's will be exactly 1 year since I ordered - is it still worth getting ?

Only you can answer that question… you really have no clue on how/if the IRS makes any rulings on it. Also the prices went down in china for fords so they could drop again here. So many variables, that being said like I told you initially expect the car maybe mid to late April. Took me 2 months from the time it shipped out of the factory.

Oh, good lord! I keep pulling for you to finally get that thing. Sorry this is happening. I hope that either the IRS ruling is delayed or favorable for you. I’d sure like to hear that you took delivery after all this time.

Well something interesting popped up today - invitation to Ford Early Access program.

Activated EAP for the MME.

Strange, the MME is not here but the invite shows as if I have it.

Now I have both the '22 Lightning and '23 MME as part of the Early Access program.

Thanks to the IRS for making 4/18/23 the cutoff when we find out how much tax credit will be for deliveries after 4/18/23...

Mine is looking like it's going to be VERY close to making it before the deadline for the full $7500 credit.

What would you do if it does not make the 4/18 deadline ???

Not without losing the '22 PCO, 4.49% APR, and $2000 Options incentive.

Hoping @Ford Motor Company will make it right by offering a $3750 refund after 4/18.

Very doubtful on that… the dealership at least where I got mine felt like they could care less if I take the order or not. They even told me they could get more for it if I didn’t take it. For your sake I hope it just comes in tine…

It will be hard not to take a car you have waited so long for but you have to decide where your line in the sand is. Meanwhile, Ford dealers are calling me to see if I’m still interested? Tells me maybe they may be able to talk to you, and you could get the car already off the lot. I just never would’ve thought a YEAR ago I would still not have a car in April! Totally insane, even with covid. But here we are, living our wildest dreams. Good luck, you deserve to move on with a car you want!!

Hmmm..
I'm one year and two days since I ordered and all I know is that MY Mach E is in Texas.
I hope you get it in time, but OUR history with Mach E delivery tells me that you will get it on the 18th!?

Seriously though, I don’t even think you could write this script. Two blindfolded drunk guys could have literally pushed your car all the way here by now. This is truly just weird. I am disgusted on your behalf. 5 more months and you could just get a 2024. Or maybe another brand of car perhaps ?
