Height! Too bad your not older and dont understand.
Yeah… saying a Prius is comparable in size or comfort based on those numbers is pretty misleading. I’ve sat in a Prius. It makes so many sacrifices.

BMW iX M60 at $80K not $140K. This is the ultimate non mid sized SUV. Air suspension, wicked acceleration, all safety features, amazing driver assist, luxury level interior and audio. Has everything except an affordable price tag.
All those things are true, except the price tag. Falls in between that range, depending.

We're in position now to replace our 2013 Escape with something new. But it's still gonna be the secondary vehicle to the Mach-E in terms of usage, so we really can't justify another $60k+.

But we want something taller than the Mach-E, and more SUV-like. Unfortunately that just doesn't exist in an EV yet (other than a way-too-expensive R1S), so we ordered a Bronco Sport which we love both the shape and look of. And it's under $40k. Wish they had an EV version but it makes some sense to retain one EV and one ICE anyway.

Chevy Blazer EV would have been considered, but probably be almost 2 years before we could actually get our hands on one.

I have so few complaints with the MME that it really just comes down to a few "upgrades" to it:

- Less buggy software (I'll spare the details)
- Better winter range. Getting 250 miles in the winter would be amazing. If I cannot get that, then faster charging would basically make up for it. I'm happy with the summer range, and wouldn't need more.
- Better heater.

I'd consider a truck or a proper SUV, but I wouldn't want anything less efficient. Instead of having two MMEs, I'd prefer the second to be more compact car. (Was planning on getting a Bolt EV, but they lost my business due to lack of transparency on increasingly indefinite shipping time after build.)

But really nothing in an EV that's the taller, SUV shape we want. R1S' are barely out yet. I suppose a used XC40 Recharge might fit the bill. I see some of those around $50k, but that's still a bit much. Not really fond of buying used either.

The Mach-E is as short (height-wise) as I'm willing to go (64"). We hate low-to-the-ground vehicles that are hard to crawl in/out of. And we prefer driving from a higher position for better visibility too. The Bronco Sport 70" is about the perfect height for our tastes. The XC40's 67" would be acceptable though.

Used EVs are finally becoming decent deals.

In a year this might be $25K and eligible for used tax credit. Also fully loaded low miles (used) 2021 Polestar 2s have hit sub $40K. That’s $25K off new MSRP.

ID.4 has passable height (pretty much same as the MME), but it's still very much crossover instead of SUV. No interest in a Polestar 2 though as it's only 58" tall. 70"+ is our preferred minimum height.

Hopefully the next few years bring a slew of actual EV SUVs instead of only low slopey crossovers.

Really like this first EV. I am glad it's a Mustang Mach E and no other. I am happy to say this will not be my last EV. Great experiences.

My next has to have these, it's because of this MME that brought this list.

-Park Assist
-Auto Pilot
-Side mirrors (they are going camera version of side mirrors ) that folds with a button in app
-Drive modes (one customizable)
-More Range
-Dash Cams/Security Cameras
-Updatable processor/RAM wise Sync 4 or similar
-optional HUD for some pertinent information

Sounds like a tesla. My wife has the GTPE and I will look for a tesla y long range AWD next week. Test drive will sell it. Cost now $55k 330 miles range.

I'd say the ID.4 and maybe the XC40 or Solterra are closest to a RAV4 EV. The ID.4 has an inch or so more ground clearance than the hatchback-y Mach-E. And the ID.4 has probably the least raked rear hatch area. I'm not recommending one to be clear - had a 2021 Pro RWD and wouldn't curse my worst enemy with one :)

Real SUV EVs with ground clearance will be less efficient and have lower range. My guess is the Jeep Recon EV will be the first mainstream one or maybe the EV9 but I suspect that will be more minivan than SUV. I would buy an Bronco EV in a nano-second but I suspect it won't happen for at least 3 years.

If you like upright tall positions high above the ground and an EV... your choices are definitely limited: R1T,R1S, Lightning,

Boy, perspective really matters! My MME is the tallest car I've owned (heaviest, longest, widest). I feel like I'm sitting up high in an SUV or truck! Previously 2 and 4 seat sports cars or small hatchbacks.

The only things that would lead me to replace my GTPE would be 800V, VtoG, or a smaller size with sports car handling.
