23 Premium AWD SR - Vapor Blue (STILL WAITING!)
Country flag
I have a Premium AWD SR that is supposed to be delivered between May 6th & May 12th. Last we know, it was put on a railcar on April 25th in KC on it's way to NY.

I ORDERED this car on 4/08/2022. 13 months ago and was a 2022 order pushed to 2023 with a PCO of $6,500

What price will I pay and will BlueCruise be included?

1) Originally MSRP of $58,975 & I was getting a $6,500 PCO because it was a 2022 order pushed to 2023
2) After it was shipped, the sticker changed to $55,295 (But the BlueCruise was still included)
3) Now the price dropped again!

If you are in a similar situation
A) If you dealer gave you ANY information - PLEASE SHARE
B) If you actually took delivery or turned down delivery - What was the price?!?!?

My head is spinning.....
NOTE - I will be leasing..

Order date: Sept '22
Model: Premium AwD Cyber Orange :)
Build date: 4/12/2023
Shipped: 4/25/2023
Est delivery: 5/6 - 5/19

Similar situation here. Ordered in '22 and the build date has pushed and pushed. The car is supposed to hit my dealer in the next week'ish. I have asked my dealer what price I will get and haven't gotten a response yet. I will update when I get more info.

I'm curious about this, too. I ordered in late 2022, and my build was done pretty much on schedule. But, the eta when I ordered would have delivered in time to get the $7,500 tax credit. Now that has been halved, and the price for new orders has dropped twice. My order updated to the new pricing in Feb (although delivery went up from $1,300 to $1,800), but I'm waiting to see if there will be any consideration of the new 2023.5 pricing. My delivery is estimated to be about 3 weeks out, so I'm hoping Ford will do something. Even points that I can use on an extended warranty or wheel/tire plan, etc., would be very much appreciated.

@NYSteve I'm glad your car finally started moving!

  • Customers who have ordered a vehicle between Jan. 30 and May 1, 2023 and have not taken delivery, will receive an incentive offer from their dealer at delivery.
This is what ChasingCoral originally posted. I cannot find any Ford source for this, but he has stated his information came from the company.

If I remember correctly, after the last price reduction it was a couple of weeks before Ford officially announced what they would do for previous buyers. Could be the same here. We may just have to sit tight for a bit.

My main concern is that it isn't an apples-to-apples adjustment this time. What I ordered comes with more features (3 years of BlueCruise, mobile charger, lower delivery fee) so they may try to undercut a bit. Though the new one also has some pros (range, charging, HP).

I ordered a premium, so if they give me $4,000, the price difference, I would be absolutely ecstatic but I doubt that will be the case. Still getting my dealer to look into the $2,000 credit from when the tax break got cut in half. Haven't been responsive to me for a few days, but I'll update when I get anything back.

In the same situation. Ordered in September 2022 and my dealer said the car should be arriving this week or next at the latest. If they don't honor the lowest possible price, I will just place a new order.

Already have a MachE so not in a huge hurry to get this second one...

If I were a Ford dealer right now, I'm not sure I'd want anything committed to writing - especially since they prob know we all share the news about incentives and price cuts. My plan is to wait to talk to the dealer face to face when mine arrives. If I don't think it's a fair deal, I'll walk (and may anyway).

For me the issue is I want to know OTD price ASAP in case it ends up making more sense to order a new one and save some money. The longer Ford waits to get this out the more orders that go out and the longer I will have to wait for mine. I have a great car right now but the longer I wait, the less valuable it will be for trade-in, looking at the way the market is going.

But... just going to have to be patient and wait things out. Hope we get some more solid info soon!

I think this is why we are likely to get an "incentive." If you can wait, why not?

WARNING: WILD SPECULATION ALERT!

I've been thinking about what this "incentive" might be. I went on the order page and tried ordering the exact car that I have coming in three or so weeks from now. I'm sure that you noticed as I did that some things that came standard with the '23 car are now separate add-ons that cost extra on the '23.5.

You can see what I ordered in my signature, so you would have to account for your specific trim and features on your order to do what I am going to do to try and guess what this "incentive" might be, dollar-wise. I think they might do the following:

WILD SPECULATION
$4,000 (price drop)
-$2,100 (Blue Cruise 1.2 - already part of the deal with a '23 Premium)
-$500 (Mobile Power Cord - also part of the deal for all MMEs before now)
= $1,400 "incentive"

So, perhaps they'll "charge" us for the things we're getting for what it would cost us to get the same car if we refused delivery and ordered a '23.5. Again, you would have to factor in the cost of anything that was standard on your specific order but is now "extra" and subtract it from the $4K.

The one flaw that I noticed is that the standard wheels are different on the Standard Range '23.5 model. In order to get the same wheels on a '23.5 I would have to order an Extended Range model. I'm not figuring that price in!

If this is what the "incentive" is, I could live with this. I would accept my order.

If it was this plus the $2k from losing out on the federal tax rebate I would also accept my order.

Same here for my '22 order coming in as '23.

If Ford will give me my $2500 PCO that is owed to me plus the current $2K incentive + $1750 for loss of tax credit + price protection at time of order: $2K Options + 4.49%, I'd take it.

Ha ha!
I really doubt Ford will do that for my order.

I may have to just wait more time and order the '23.5 with LFP for $4K less money.
