Besides driving at under 65mph on adaptive cruise control and keeping the AC off…

if I swap to different wheels and tires, can I approximate the range of. CA RT 1 or Premium AWD on a base GT?

Swapping tires and wheels may get you 5-10%.

I was actually on my way to go test drive a GT and maybe pull a lateral trade. Then remembered the 40'ish mile range loss and realized there wasn't a way to make that up when going uphill 7500ft.

The GT nose is a little more draggy than the non-GT nose. Otherwise, wheels and tires will net a small improvement if you get some wheels with smaller openings and a very flush face. A slightly convex face would be less draggy than a flat or slightly concave face. ??

I have a very convex face, some would even call it 'shaped like a basket ball' but I don't think it's going to help me much haha.

A/C uses almost no power, as it's a very efficient electric motor. Heating is another story. {Jonathan}

Precondition and drive as slow as possible. Only way to significantly extend the range. I can get pretty far in mine. Though I feel like I’m not representing our cars well watching everyone pass me while my car shouts “look at me” and my license plate shouts “LCTRC GT”

You could maybe get half the range back by switching to RT1 wheels, but the aero and larger front motor drag will still be present.

ER AWD non-GT is sort of the sweet spot when it comes to the range/performance equation.

Well there is, but it will take you back to your starting point... ?

Drive it like you stole it. Don't worry about range.
