I've had my car for two weeks, now. After months of dreaming and imagining what it would be like to own one, I'm now in one on a daily basis. I thought I'd post some thoughts and observations after two weeks. Here goes:
  • This car looks so good! Until now, I've never had a car that has generated so many (any?) positive comments. A female co-worker called it "sexy!" I hope didn't visibly blush! ?
  • I've read a number of times in this forum about a bumpy/bouncy ride. Huh? Did you ride on a cloud before you bought an MME? This is the smoothest-riding car I've ever owned.
  • Public charging is not as scary as I thought it might be. Easy!
  • The seats are a little harder than I'm used to. I don't think I've ever seen that mentioned. I'm getting used to them, though.
  • iPod Classic definitely will not work with Sync 4. :(
  • I can clone my iPod onto a tiny little flash drive (recommended by @generaltso & @i8iridium - Thanks!), but I'm still looking for a good m3u playlist creator. The one I'm using is very labor-intensive. Recommendations?
  • 120V charging truly is slow, but it is a good bridge until I get my EVSE installed, as long as I make an occasional trip to a fast charger when the GOM gets too low.
  • Wondering how much the range will drop when it gets really cold. I can wait, though. Our Minnesota winter seemed especially long this year and I am happy to wait a long time to find out.
  • Every time I pass a gas station, I smile when I think about how much money I'm saving not buying gas.
  • I also smile when I think about all the CO2 I'm not dumping into the environment.
  • I was a little nervous at first about an impending road trip (only 250 miles or so) but after two weeks of getting comfortable with the car, those jitters are gone.
  • My wife was skeptical, but she quickly warmed to the MME. At first, it was a no-go on our road trip for the MME. Now she wants to take it!
  • ADDED: BlueCruise is an interesting thing - kind of cool, actually, but not very useful for the kind of driving I do. I'm looking forward to using it on the road trip, though. When it expires in 3 years, I won't be re-upping. Not at the asking price. If I can do a month here and a month there when I'm taking a road trip, I'm in!
  • Rapid Red is the best color! (IMO)
  • I will never buy another ICE vehicle.
  • I LOVE MY MME!

I second the smooth-riding comment, I was a little nervous about it (even though the tiny test drive I had was fine) but compared to our other vehicles the Mach-e rides great. I find the seats comfortable, but a longer drive is needed to see if that holds true.

I adore the car, and I’m so happy I waited/was privileged to order the exact car I wanted.

The ride is highly subjective and totally depends on the streets you drive.

The car is smooth-riding if your roads are good. I live in St. Paul, MN on the west side the roads here are so bad the city lowered the speed limit to 20MPH so cars don't get damaged. On rough roads, the suspension is jarring my wife has an Audi TT and that suspension is tight but not harsh like mine. That being said there are things you can do to make it better.

When it gets really cold expect between 20-40% range drop. But there are ways to minimize that. First park in a garage whenever possible, second set a departure time and the car will preheat the battery and interior. third watch your tire pressure it will drop in the winter.

And yes RR is a very nice color

More like what you’ve driven before. An Audi/Lexus SUV owner would not like the Mach-E.

To your playlist comment, Mp3tag might do it:

Playlists – Mp3tag Documentation

It's an amazing app to organize music, clean-up tagging in bulk, etc. It does have a bit of a learning curve, and am not 100% sure it would support your use case, but looks that way - just have not tried it myself.

That’s so weird, I have a Lexus as well. Each serves a purpose. But that must explain the countless hours I’ve worked on the MME’s suspension. The RX weighs only 250lbs less than the mme, and has slightly smaller tires. My 08 RX400h had a better ride than the 21's 450h's terrible need for rear shocks or a sway bar.

I'm only 4 days in with my mme. Ride is smooth. Almost exact same size, length and width, as the 2006 mustang gt I replaced, so it fits in the garage the same.

I've started driving in whisper mode, non 1pd, and the brakes are petty touchy! There's a definite grab after a slight initial slowing. Perhaps it's the brake pads kicking in after a slight initial regen braking. Wanted to give the brakes a workout before going 1PD.

Underneath, I masked off the jack and tow areas and simply spray painted them green. Might add some "no lift, battery rails" stickers if someone comes up with some good ones.

I echo OP’s comment about the seats. They are hard as hell. And I’m comparing to a Prius, not some cushy luxury vehicle.

If found the GTPE seats to be way more comfortable over distance than the Select seats (which I think are very similar to the Premium/Ca Route 1).

The MME (all trims) have a quite firm ride. A Mazda CX-5 has a more comfortable ride.

I've owned over 20 vehicles, none of which could be considered luxury. I find the ride in the Mustang to be the best I've owned and I've never even driven a vehicle with a smoother ride.

After many >1000 mile road trips, I agree about the seats. I may end up adding some seat padding to them soon.

I’ve owned an Audi Q5 for 12 years. My husband traded in his 2004 Audi A6 for the Mach-e. Maybe our roads in TN and NC are better than “up North” but I don’t notice a significant difference in the rides.

We find the Select seats to be very comfy - was slightly concerned about the leatherette seats, having been used to leather all these years. It’s just now getting warmer so I’ll reserve judgement about seat quality until the temps reach into the 90’s but I’m hoping that pre-conditioning will avoid unattractive seat sticking.

The bucket seats of the GT PE are amazing. The Premium seats are stiff/hard and in a different (ancient) thread I link to a cushion I bought to alleviate pain.

I don't know how old your Audis were but most luxury cars built in the past 3-ish years are loaded with comfort focused features like air suspension.

Even my Grand Cherokee has moved upmarket... it has heated + VENTILATED leather seats (not leatherette), 360 camera, digital rear view mirror, and various off road cameras. This is a low-trim GC too as the Overland, Summit, and Summit Reserves trim are decked out with real wood, height-adjustable air suspension, center + rear locking differentials, extra screens for the front + rear passenger etc. Modern cars are limos... the Mazda CX-90 is another case in point.
