My wife's Premium 4X shipped before BlueCruise was ready, and BC was never enabled when and after Ford turned it on for the earlier cars that shipped without it. I've gone back and forth with 2 dealers, the Guides, the Connected Services team, and the In-Vehicle Tech team to try to get it to work, all to no avail. Most recently I made arrangements with my dealer to apply TSB 21-G01, which I was given to understand should resolve the issue. I was just waiting on the availability of a loaner since the work might take more than a day to complete.

Anyway, overnight the car processed the OTA referenced in the thread title, and when my wife drove it today to her surprise BC came on. My assumption is that the OTA fixed it but Ford's notes on the OTA were lacking in detail. If there's anyone who had a similar experience or who has deeper access to notes on Ford's software efforts, I'd greatly appreciate anything you might be able to tell me, just to satisfy my curiosity.

I don't think so. I went out at lunch to test it and it seemed about the same as my car. I didn't think to test if it changes lanes.
Has anyone that started with the original BC been upgraded to 1.2?

I don't think it's yet been pushed to cars that shipped without it.
I don’t understand why Ford wants people to pay so much for BC if updates aren’t consistent across all model years equipped with it.

For example, they want ‘22 models to pay the same amount as ‘23 models - yet ‘22 models haven’t got the update even though ‘23 models shipped with it.

Lol, apparently we’re to the point where we have so little faith in the release notes that we believe “some minor fine-tuning” could actually be BlueCruise 1.2…

Honestly I could see that happening ?

Indeed. My first thought was, maybe? The Power Up release notes are occasionally substantive but more often than not void of any useful information.

I waited two weeks for my scheduled dealer appointment after waiting two years
Dealer had my car for 1 1/2 days for the needed updates. I picked the car up and took I for a test drive on the blue interstate no blue cruise
Customer service with ford stated to return to dealer
Dealer did not road test
Dealer service adviser gave me the first available service date at the end of June
So far it’s looking like five weeks and more trips to the ford dealer
I also called ford for help and have a claim number started
I think the issue is on the ford app with making the subscription services for blue cruise active on my 2021 MME says coming soon….

Went through much the same, including a dealer keeping it for something like a week and me finally just asking for it back with the issue unresolved, talking with several Ford support teams, etc. Needless to say I'm glad Ford finally got it working on their end somehow.

Now I'm going to have to call and fight them about extending the subscription since the website lists it as expiring at the end of this calendar year.

I had to do this. May 5, 22, dealer installed required updates, but BC never worked. Ford started the countdown at that time. November I made another appointment, Ford gave my dealer explicit steps. Two days before that, several OTAs came and I'm sure one of them got it sorted out.

So I started the process of insisting that they reset the clock on BC trial. That took months but it did finally go through. Be persistent!
