I use my Blue Cruise twice a week during a 160 mile trip up and down Hwy 95. Is it normal for BC to slide to once side when passing semi? It moves way over to the left when passing..much more than I feel comfortable with.
Also it seems to stay more in the right side of the lane when no traffic is around.
Otherwise it's a great feature and makes the commute stress free, almost..

Yes. If you don't like it, simply steer back to where you want to be and hold it there until you pass the semi.

This is part of the BC enhancements, which 2023s have.

Yes, this is part of 1.2's features to give more room for larger vehicles. If you have forscan you can force the system to relearn 'center'. This may or may not fix your right bias.

I wish it would stay left more often. Especially if you are in the left most lane.

Thanks for the info. The only real issue is when it slides to the left, and occasionally there is another large Truck in the fast lane and I do have to steer it back over so I stay in the middle of my lane.

Congrats, the sliding over for semis thing is a feature most of us are waiting to get.

It is watching both lanes next to (and behind) you, so it won't slide over far if it knows there's a car close on your other side.

Disappointed to hear it has a right side lane bias, maybe 1.3 will fix that so it stays in the dead center with no cars around (I hope so).

Thanks for the info. The only real issue is when it slides to the left, and occasionally there is another large Truck in the fast lane and I do have to steer it back over so I stay in the middle of my lane.
In that situation it should see the second truck coming and put you back in the middle?

Next time, let it do what it wants to do, keeping your hands nearby. I think you'll find that it's fine where it puts the car.

I would say for me it seems to perfectly center.... where as if in the left lane a driver would normally have a left lane bias. It does not. so the biggest issue is it gets closer to cars in the right lane than a normal driver might do.

On 1.0 I have always felt in the far left lane it has made me feel like it has too much of a left bias, making me concerned it will run me into a concrete divider. If 1.2-1.3 has a little more of a right bias in the lane it would be preferred to me, but to each their own.

so I suppose I would be good to have a selection asking what a driver would prefer.

Disagree. You can't ask for input from the masses, because the masses aren't smart enough to provide that input. And someone would find a way to put in a value that made the car drive 3 lanes over.

Feature can be turned off if you don't like how it works. You can record feedback to Ford if you have suggestions. That's why 1.2 has this change - feedback from customers.

This is a common feeling folks have when steering is under ADAS control from a variety of car makers. The reality is most folks drive left of center and don't realize it.

Next time you're in BC and think you are too far to the right, turn on the cameras and look to see where the car is actually sitting in the lane.

Please stop interjecting facts and reality, it disturbs the flow of the thread...

Has anyone who claimed their car drove too close to one side of the lane posted a picture or video showing this? I would love to see it if so. A while ago I was curious so I took a picture while crawling in traffic to see if it was possible to check the centering with the 360 camera and saw my car perfectly centered.

My cameras won’t turn on while moving, do yours?
