21st Century Pony brings up a good point . Map out where you plan on installing the charger and then make sure that the charger you choose has a long enough cable so as not to put too much strain on the cable connections on the charger and on the charge port on yer Mach. Most chargers have ballpark same lengths but MAKE SURE it'll reach before you commit.
Ive used Clipper Creek and ChargePoint Flex is my home charger . Can't go wrong with either IMO.
CC is a "dumb" charger and the Flex is a smart one with app based information you may find useful .
Remember that there are federal tax credits to lessen the blow from the costs even if your state and/or utility don't offer any breaks .
IF you can hold out Thanksgiving and Black Friday are coming up and you may be able to get a really good holiday discount .
Amazon is having an October Prime Day soon also .

I recommend a basic, very robust Grizzl-E. I find I don't need Internet-connected EVSEs.

A consideration if you might be faced with two EVs someday soon: the Grizzl-E Duo has two really long cables you can use simultaneously for charging two EVs.

If you ever have a charging issue where your car throttles the amps(kw) input like many of us are having it is nice to be able to pull up a charge graph from your EVSE so you can show your service manager/Ford. So I say get the smart charger. I have a JB 40 which allows changing the amp input from the app. Only con is charge cable is stiff in winter.

No, because it has a built-in adapter. It's future-proof as most new EVs starting next year will use Tesla's connector.

I have a Grizzl-E Duo, but am sad to report the customer service isn’t great. There are still a number of bugs/issues and my first one was replaced with an updated version due to GFCI being over sensitive, but they’ve been ghosting me regarding issues with scheduled charging, and having two vehicles plugged in.

The cables also seem to be designed more for Canada’s cold climate, here in Texas they get quite hot to the touch both along the cable and especially at the coupler (which is a major issue for the MachE because it slows down charging) https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/l2-charging-speed-recently-dropped-33.28779/.

I bought an Autel maxicharger 40amp. Works great. Got it for a great price on sale from Amazon. I narrowed it down to Autel, Grizzl-E or Emporia when I was looking. All had good reviews.

I have an Emporia hard wired and a Grizzl-e I use as a travel charger. Now that Tesla includes an adapter I might have purchased it instead of the Emporia.

Whatever you do, make sure you put in a 48 Amp charger. IMO the faster charging speed is worth the extra cost.

I had a DUO as well. issues I had with scheduled charging are outlined in the manual. Basically it doesn’t work right with 2 vehicles plugged in. Their tech support explained it to me. I’m not sure I fully agree with them, but the claim is the system negotiates power rate when plugged in. so with scheduling the rate is zero until it’s not. I’m curious if some of the others with digital load sharing run into the same problem but if they are “smart” using the EVSE scheduler will allow for better success.

I had a charge point first and a Tesla j1772 when those became available

the Tesla was less expensive and just worked. The cable was lighter and easier to deal with.
I had it on a 60 amp breaker and charged the car very quickly

You are 100% correct, I have showed my graph to several people at my Ford dealership who had no idea how I could get it. They sent it to Ford EV headquarters who told them by e mail, which I have, that the reduced amp is normal.

in conclusion, get a dumb charger, goes hand in hand with Ford EV team
