(un)Stuck at 6.1.0 - 2021 Only

It was 5.1.1 that turned CS off for me. The missing menu bug is still there since I got 6.1.0, but based on what I see on FP and ford.com, my connected services are still on.

Yep, same for me. 5.1.1 installed yesterday and borked CS, and 6.1.0 still installed this morning. FP is still reporting some services are disabled, and the menu in the car is still borked.

I haven't even gotten 5.1.1 yet, and my CS menu is broken in the car. But my connected services are for sure working. Just can't see the menu. It pops up the please wait loading screen, then just goes away and no options show up at all.

True, but Job 2 people are still getting hosed.

Our renewal price is the same as people who got the 360 camera hardware for free. We paid $1900 for the hardware.

Anyone who paid for the hardware should get a discount on the software renewal.

I think anyone having to pay $800 a year for BC at all is getting hosed.

Yep just gotta keep trying that menu every time you start it. Someone said if you remote start it shows up every time, I have not confirmed this though.

I'm a 2021 Job 2 (Aug build, completed in Oct, received Nov 29), AWD Ex. I've received all the updates through 5.1.1, but I'm not getting 6.1.0. Car is showing some funny behavior. When I turn it on and go the software updates screen, it generally shows that Auto Update is off, no schedule set and 5.1.1. is "Not Complete". However, if I wat a few seconds, it changes to show that Auto Update is on, shows my schedule of every day at 1:00 AM and shows 5.1.1. as complete. I've been checking daily for 6.1.0 for nearly a month now and this is the first time GA OTA updates haven't come to my car quickly.

I was stuck on incomplete 5.1.1 for over 2 weeks than all of a sudden it showed complete, and I got 6.1.0 the next day. I don't know if this did it but I charged to 100%, put parking brake on and shut off the auto lights. the next day it completed.

Let's remember it took 26 months for me to get a Frunk Button on my Sync Screen and FP app.

I think you need to have some modules coded/updated to get that button. Some folks have gotten dealer to do the update, while others have done it through FDRS.

Thanks, I asked the dealer to do it and they wanted to charge me and said they don't know if it will take an hour or 8 hours and they charge per hour. Ford should get them to do it for free for Job 1 cars IMO.

Mine has successfully installed 6.1.0 but it's also doing the same strange things with the auto update settings where it'll show as being off, then later on

Did you do anything different to get it going? Or it just happened?

I have to say that the GWM in 6.1 has improved my wifi connectivity. Ellie would go for months without connecting and I would periodically have to manually reconnect. After 6.1, every time I pull into the garage wifi connects now reliably before I even power off.

The scheduled time only applies to inhibit updates.

Anyone know what hardware or software issue is delaying job 1’s? Good news for me is we also have a ‘22 mme that is on 6.4 so we’ll be able to use bc 1.3 when it comes.

Can’t you bump the 2 cars together to transfer and update the other? Oh wait, I’m thinking of my iPhone……
