If I buy a CT I will do a fair amount of easy off roading. If it gets scratched or dinged I will be OK with it. I would not buy it to be pretty.

Cleaning routine requires wiping the stainless steel body daily. It’s still roped off, but must collect a lot of dust.

Here’s the best shot I could take this morning.

I like the idea of 48V electronics and steer by wire but zero interest in the CT.

Tesla seems to have created a great foundation on which it (or others) can build good looking trucks in the future. It’s nice to see someone willing to start with a clean slate, challenge the status quo, and innovate.

The AWD mid model was $50K at announcement, I have been guessing that it could have gone up in price as much as 30%. Wrong, it well be selling for 60% more, or $80K. I am suspecting that it will not be a good selling vehicle at that price. I will keep my reservation going, as Tesla is also noted of late for announcing drastic price cuts. Add required various fees and $12K for FSD and it is in the almost $100K range.

I was able to see this Cybertruck in person at the Westfield Montgomery Mall Tesla Store (Bethesda, MD).

Some folks say pictures don’t do it justice. Yes, they do. Since we couldn’t even touch it and they didn’t have any real specs, there were no real surprises seeing it in person. It was just as ugly in person as the pictures I’ve seen. Although, today I did realize just how much it looks like a refrigerator.
I would not expect an assessment from you to be any different than this. I am surprised you made the effort to go see it though. ?

I saw the CT on display today. I thought it looked awesome. The MSRP will determine if this is a status symbol, or an everyday work truck.

Careful there dude, you are contradicting all the Tesla haters on here. ? Seriously though, I look forward to seeing one in the flesh.

It's a significant new EV coming to market. That doesn't mean I'd own one.

I think the critics have it wrong. They cite how Musk promised a low price, but now it's like a $100k truck. I think the high pricing is intentional to lower the demand because the thing is such a boondoggle.
I'm not following your point there, what exactly makes it a boondoggle?

I think the thing is a joke. And once you price something around $100k, you severely limit who's capable of buying it. They're already admitted it's a money-loser before it hit the street.
The first part of your statement is your own subjective opinion so I won't go there as everyone has their own thoughts on the truck. I will however ask you about it being a money-loser before it hits the street, who is they and do you have a link to this info? In my opinion I'm not seeing anymore of a boondoggle that that of the Ford Mach E, Lightning, Bronco and other manufacturers rollout of new EV's and other vehicles.
