This sounds like the headlight switch bug, some people were experiencing. The car would default from headlight "Auto" to "On". Are you getting a chime when you are powering off your vehicle and exiting? Check the headlight selector switch to the left of the steering wheel, and ensure it is "Off"

Very good callout. I’ve noticed a couple of strange ‘goings on’ with the lights & light panel since the 6.8.0 update a couple weeks back for my 2021 Premium Job 1. Sometimes the light panel’s interior lights are dark. Sometimes the status changes from A to On, which can cause battery problems if left unattended when walking away from the car after lockup. I’ve avoided the problem by actually ‘locking’ the car physically, instead of just having the automatic ‘walk-away’ feature do it. But yes, be mindful that your lights could be left on due to this ‘bug’…

Did You take the car in to get serviced or just turn your headlights to off hoping the next update will fix it? I just got the same message pop up on my phone and I’ve also noticed problems with my lights. A couple times people have come into work and said my headlights were on in the middle of the day but they’re always set to auto and my welcome lights are hit or miss.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

There is no update that will fix the headlight bug. The errant code resides within the switch itself, so it cannot be updated. The only true fix is to get a new switch. There is a TSB for a new switch. For now, I am just turning my lights off a couple times a week. ?‍♂?

I got the drain message. The main screen was freezing up and the back doors would not open. The dealership had it for a week before they could look at it. When I went to pick it up the service advisor told me they had run into this before on a lightning and had ordered parts but what was really needed was several modules to be updated.
I believe he said that a senior Master Tech was the only person they had that could work on them because he was certified through Ford on ev and basically the only thing that Ford showed him to do was how not to kill himself when working with the main battery. He said there was a pretty steep learning curve and a lot of it was just trial and error since ford didn't really show him much.
He also said that he could see everything in there and that I already had several ota updates, which I knew but I guess I needed several more. So far everything is good now.

I have been getting this message a lot over the last couple of weeks. Just made an appointment with my dealer for it. I did have one issue when I was getting the Lights on chime and I had to switch the lights to Off and then back to Auto before the lights would go off and the chime stopped. Only happened once but I am still getting this message more or less every other day when I press the Start button. I plug in every night, too. No aftermarket items.

I doubt they'll have the parts for the HVBJB recall yet.

I will turn off the lights tonight to see if that is the issue. Either way, it is going in as it is due for its 30K check up.
