Watched the 'boring' 30 intro before just seeing the outside of the car. The car for me is also 'bland' I'm afraid and knowing the Germans by the time you add the options you'd like it'll add at least £10,000 to the price (when announced). I'll probably do a configuration when it's available just to have a laugh.

The configurator is out. $86K after paint, leather seats and premium pack. That is one hefty price for a 4.9S 0-60 SUV. Porsche really trusts their Porsche badge to carry it far. I am sure porsche will limit the supply to prevent price slide. Probably only custom orders. Unlike Ford, churning it out like no tomorrow cause it to sit on dealer lots and crash the resale value.

The base model is too slow, the Turbo numbers are great but the price is too high. Maybe an upcoming S could be the sweet spot.

Yep, I just priced out also in white, 86k. Now if they pass thru the 7500 and discount in lease maybe otherwise like most Macans lease price will be high.

Both trims come standard with adaptive air suspension and dual-valve shocks

Rear-wheel steering will be an option

Both get same battery pack with 100 kWh total capacity, 96 of it available.

800-volt architecture allows DC fast charging speeds up to 270 kW.
With a 800-volt charger, charging from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes.

On a 400-watt charging speed drop to 135 kW.

Official EPA range is not available yet.

Macan EV pricing makes me realize that the 2024 Mach-E GT (with former performance edition package trim now standard) will be a relative bargain.

Sucks that the 4.9 is even with launch control and overboost mode.

Will be slower in normal driving.

Yes, there was a time when 4.9 to 60 would have been fast for even then fastest sports cars and no SUV would dream of being that fast.

But in the world of electric SUVs, it’s sub par. Especially for a Porsche.

The electric version shouldn’t be slower to 60 than the gas version. Definitely a let down. We shall see when the testing starts. I hope they do tests with and without overboost.

My husband drives the Panamera hybrid and we got the ICE Macan as a loaner when his car was being serviced. Not as nice as the Mach-E. The Panamera much nicer than the Macan. But the Porsche technology (monitor,user-friendlyness, the way screen looks, not nearly as good as Mach-E IMO). It glitches all the time and the app shuts down a lot. The German Porsche tech told us the software in that car sends him to therapy. ?

-1 point for no rear wiper, but +1 point for having manual HVAC buttons. Rear passenger space seems cramped

Thanks for confirming that this car has been released in the US already! While driving on Williams Drive the other day, I saw a white EV coming toward us and I said, "Oh another Tesla" (it looked just like all the white Teslas you see everywhere), but my husband said, "No, it's a Porsche, look at the headlights."
