Besides, the search functionality in this forum sucks, and more often than not, it misses on key words.

That's the all new painful world of forums in 2024, I used to be on a very active forum with a very low rate of duped topics and very easy search, but that required a full team of moderators to edit/rewrite titles and write better summaries on the first OP message.... ....

I suggest everyone who is complaining about posters' searches or posting duplicate topics sue for compensation. Think of all the money it is costing you when someone doesn't do a proper search or none at all before posting a topic. And how about the pain and suffering you endure when someone posts a similar topic to one posted previously. Oh the humanity. Obviously they don't understand that you are morally obligated to read every topic posted here. I'm not even going to mention the dwindling supply of bandwidth those non-searching, duplicate posting cretins are wasting.

Good one, Pharaoh! Seriously, some folks may not recognize online sarcasm. And there are newbie buyers who have only just discovered this forum.

We only heard about this forum by word of mouth at a local EV exhibition. One year owner as of next month and I’m still learning about stuff here, including advice about issues discussed before I bought my Select.

i’d hate for the forum to become a “ clique” for guys who only want to show off their deep car knowledge and mock those who don’t and are only searching for advice or knowledge.

If you want a very customizable driver display, buy a GM vehicle. Plenty of options for layout and selecting what gets displayed.

So funny thing, I have a 2023 Escape as a loaner right now that has a dash similar to the mach e and you can customize the layout you want in it. Want a full digital dash? Perfect, you can have that. Want a more traditional looking speedometer and layout, it changes the entire screen to just that!

Wild that Ford let's their Escape change the layout but the mach e? No Sir! While I understand that it's a this or that layout, Ford shows they are fully capable of having 2 fully different layouts to choose from with a couple button presses.

I think my son-in law's Mustang had the same thing.

I joined because I finally had something I needed to say. I've been browsing since May 2023. I bought my MACHE CR1 in July. Oh, my battery is draining by the way. I know people are complaining about that in another thread. July'23 300@100% - January'24 289@100%. Still love the car more than my 2023 Tesla Model 3.

It's winter, even in LA. The guess-o-meter should never be relied on, anyway.

Here’s what I get on 2016 ford Fusion.
Look at all this info and available adjustments. This is a 8 year old display.
And it has buttons and dials!!!!! How ‘novel’.
Notice the history of my battery usage - it’s simply great instant feedback.
Ford needs to rethink MachE’s entire interface!

My Hummer has 5 base layouts to choose from. The left side of the display has 6 different selections, and the right side has 15 selections.
