that’s the top speed of the new model that they just released. They have another model that can be driven by licensed adults, At about twice the speed of this model
This particular model has a speed limitation so that school aged children could ride this to school. You only need to be 14 to be able to drive this vehicle in Europe.

Chinese had these non road legal low speed EV for a long time. They cost around $1000. The vehicle in the article seems very similar in spec. The price listed in the article makes me laugh. These tiny cars are not safe for road. If you get into a vehicle collision, you die. They are meant to be electric bike replacement with a roof.
