I got the update yesterday and successfully installed, now have to wait Six months for the adapter

Are people seriously complaining about the P&C rollout when none of the adapters have even shipped?
Nailed it. Virtually no one has the free adapter, so why does anyone care about receiving the OTA that allows it to function RIGHT NOW when they don't even have one?

A lot of complaints about the OTA process. Which seems like the biggest issue is delays in getting them out.

I came from a Tesla and have had my Mach E for a week now. I got one update last night. Seems like it installed in about 10 mins.

If you compare to Tesla updates that come 1-2 times most months, the Tesla update takes about 45 mins to install (can’t use the car in that time). And they also have had issues with bricking cars with the updates. Every time you get an update with any car there is a level of risk. Small overall but it is there. This past Christmas update from Tesla was particularly bad and caused issues with higher than normal numbers of teslas.
I’m in no rush to get an update. And sometimes getting it later can be better (safer)

Just got the Tesla update. Now I only have to wait 5 months for the hardware. It’s sort of like getting a driver’s license but you can’t drive for 5 months. Am I complaining. Nah! It gives me 5 months to watch all you beta testers iron out the kinks. Thank you.

Yep i got that OTA like 2 days ago. BC 1.X? Anything over 6.3 for me? Knope.

Got the Tesla update, still waiting on 6.13 and 7 for BC 1.4. I'm guessing they're rolling that out slowly since it failed pretty often with the camera update.
I don't think anybody else is getting 6.13. Pretty sure I heard Ford is retiring that one and either jumping straight to a revamped 7.0 or some new update after 6.8.

I've already received the Supercharging OTA (I guess I take EAP enrollment for granted) and I'm looking forward to getting my first edition adapter in April. This will actually help me on road trips and it will be cheaper than a lot of EA and EVgo stations.

But damn, can we get some BC1.4 already?!

According to the 6.x power-up poll, we are at 14% and climbing. That might be a record for how fast it is rolling out. It may be widely deployed in April when adapters start deploying in significant numbers.

Received my Tesla P&C update today. My adapter is supposed to come in July, I think. I could not get into the My Ford website to order the adapter. I used FordPass to order it without any problem. Received the confirming e-mail with the link to see when it would arrive. After repeated tries at logging in to My Ford, I gave up trying.
Has anyone successfully signed in to My Ford recently?
My hope/expectation/fantasy is that Tesla started production at a slow rate to learn how to make the adapters. Also, they know that getting the adapters into the hands of users will allow users to find creative ways to break the adapters. Which Tesla can fix and if needed replace the early adapters. After the adapters have been field tested for a month, Tesla could/should/may increase their rate of production which would allow them to send out adapters early. Eventually, Tesla must increase the rate of production when you consider the growing number of cars becoming eligible for using them as more OEMs qualify to join their network.

People keep asking why everyone is getting all worked up not getting the P&C OTA when the adapters haven't shipped yet.

It's obvious from the company name: FoMoCo, it's the company of FOMO and we've all bought into it. What else could you expect? :p

Let’s be real, you’re going to get the OTA long before you get the adapter. So I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Most people will probably have the OTA in a couple weeks time.
You’re missing the point. I’m not worried about the Tesla OTA. I can charge without it. Ford’s OTA process is slow, cumbersome, and frustrating.
