Wow, thank you and we just got my station put in and I was looking online for the average kilowatt hours of mine is at 10 kW charging. It looks like the average is anywhere between six and 19 so I’m guessing 10 is pretty good for the home charging because it did say From 50% to 90 that it’ll be charged tonight , does that sound pretty good normal
The Ford charger on 120v gets you 3-4 miles per hour while charging. A 240v charger gets you 25-30 miles added per hour depending on amps and fuse box and charger settings . IF you arent hardwired you will probably run into a "nuisance" tripping which will shut off your charger . Its normal but aggravating . Just go throw the breaker back on . If yer hardwired you shouldnt have to deal with this .

My level 2 breaker has never tripped. This is running 40 amps on #6 wire and a 50 amp breaker.
What size is your breaker vs current the charger is drawing?

Mine isnt hardwired so both the charger and the box have GFCIs which gets things cranky to say the least . I couldve eliminated this with the hardwiring but wanted the flexibility to remove the charger if it needed repair or replacing . Last year that exact scenario came up as my charger wouldnt connect to wifi anymore so off it went back for a new one .

Mine is hardwired with a 60 amp breaker. It’s working right now. I went ahead and connected manually to the charging station and now I can see things I can do underneath in FordPass, but I keep getting a message. Cannot connect to server any idea what that error might be causing that?

Disregard that last I plugged it into the car and now it seems like I’m not getting that server error. For some reason it doesn’t wanna let me connect to the server when it’s not plugged into the car strange but it seems like I’m charging everything. Everything looks good I can lock it and unlock it from the app now sorry guys.

That makes sense. So is yours tripping for GFCI or breaker trip? I couldn't find a GFCI breaker for my old panel so I installed a standard breaker. The charger does have GFCI so since the outlet is outdoors in a weatherproof box I just put a padlock on the box.

Code here requires GFCI on fuse box no ifs ands or buts. The chargers all have em built in IF plugged in. I wouldve loved just having the one in the box or the charger but that only happens with the hardwire . I live in a townhouse so Im sure my neighbors appreciate the double safety net as it were . The trip happens at/in the box . I go downstairs and flip it back on . Not sure if that damages the breaker or not . Id love if charger makers would set up something that could turn off the GFCI IF it detected another one in the line but understand/agree completely with the safety measure
