Having max front defrost available is a requirement. How it is implemented is not. But if it is only on the screen and the screen dies or has a widespread issue where it won't turn on due to a memory issue like Tesla had, then you have to issue a recall. By having a hard button as backup then if the screen fails you are still compliant
There are other single point failures; the button, the fuse, the blower motor, etc.

I do appreciate the Mach-E having the IPC screen separate from the infotainment screen. I've had the infotainment reboot randomly and it didn't really bother me since I had the IPC screen. But I borrowed a friends Tesla Model 3 and its infotainment system randomly rebooted and it felt weird not knowing what speed I was driving during that reboot...and it took a lot longer to come back up than the Mach-E.

Still not showing this APIM update in FDRS, is there any specific date it will be available to everyone?
You've got a gateway issue if the new APIM isn't in FDRS (if you haven't already been told this)

Just curious, what do you put in your frunk, and when? I never use mine that's why I ask. Thanks.
Charger, extension cord, general low-usage stuff. The ford charger stays connected to its extension cord. I pull out the head with enough cord to plug it into the car and have the extension cord pull out just enough to plug into an outlet if needed. Route cords out the front and then push it down 1 click. No water gets in and nobody can run off with the charger or the cord.

Since everyone else is providing feedback, I think the navigation map should have different color icons for charging. One color for L2 charging and one for DCFC

Overall, I like the changes to the icons on the top, and combining Bluetooth and USB makes sense. Thanks for continuing to take feedback and provide updates.
That’s nice. But doesn’t really help people who don’t see colors.

Windex, paper towels, squeegee (since DCFC charging stations don't have window washing stuff), Tesla destination adapter, bag with sweatshirt, the things that leave the back nice and open.

Body parts, mach-ete (ugh the pun) , bloody shirts. How many times have you seen the cops asking “open the frunk for me”!

I already filled out my Ford survey on the 6.14 update but anyone experience these issues I have been having since?
- Car reset my location charge from 90% to 100% - (Yes very common, not really concerned)
- My car has changed drive modes 3 times, but on startup, we always use unbridle but when I turn on the car it is in Engage - I have had it change while driving in the past, but never at startup
- My auto wipers which have been phenomenal for 2 years, I have almost never touched the stalk have been a disaster, turning on way to often, so I have actually been turning them off for the last few days.

I did a hard reboot this AM, Vol down + next track, and I think I noticed a wiper improvement.

What is the new APIM I keep reading about? How do I know if I have one? Is it a thing the dealer has to install?

Not sure what you mean by this, the Gateway module and everything is updated in FDRS but nothing for APIM been released to 23’s yet.
And I have been checking multiple vehicles in the other thread for FDRS but have only seen it pop up on one persons 2022 car so far

Actually, methinks you have just been lucky for 2 years and are now experiencing other's normal daily experience :)

I mean, compared to other systems, I'm pleasantly surprised how well it works, but it's had gremlins from day 1 and LOVES to give me a random wipe or two here and there "Just because"

ugh, hope not a sign of times to come! Yeah I live in New England, lots of rain/snow in 2 years I have only had to touch that stalk a handful of times.

I noticed the same thing with my auto wipers going way too fast. Then I got the battery optimization and remote start enhancement priority update and it rained later that day and the wipers were back to normal.
