Just wanted to share my experience with the new Tesla v4 chargers in Columbia, SC. I was driving from Charlotte to Hilton Head and decided to try out the new Tesla chargers at the Loewe’s foods in Columbia. The cords are a great length, the charge started flawlessly and billed right through Ford plug and charge. I now REALLY can’t wait for my adapter. It activated much faster than EA or any other plug and charge adapters I’ve experienced

It took me a second to figure out how to get the adapter out of the unit, so figured I’d share. You need to push the button on the handle for about 2 seconds until it clicks. Then push up and pull out. The CCS adapter will come out of the unit locked to the Tesla charger.

This stop for me is a game changer heading to HHI since the only EA chargers in Columbia were about 15-20 mins out of the way and Walterboro, GA got me too close to a dead battery for comfort.

Happy Road Tripping!

Pics or it didn’t happen.

lol glad it worked well for you and here’s to hoping all new Tesla installs are V4 dispensers.

22-23 minutes charging to get 48% SoC back. Are you on a SR Premium or ER?
