After the sh**show that was 2020, does anyone want to make predictions for 2021? Of course, this is a Mach-E forum, so I'm thinking about Mach-E or EV related predictions...

Possible predictions:
  • Over/under for number of Mach-E's sold in 2021
  • Date the first GTs are shipped
  • Final 0-60 numbers for the GT Performance Edition
  • Will there be a special edition of the GT (Shelby?)
  • First OTA feature added
  • Will mileage be increased via OTA or stay the same?
  • What changes will be introduced for the 2022 model year
  • Will there be any new colors introduced?
  • Will the volume knob do anything besides volume control?
  • Ford stock price at the end of 2021
  • ??? Your own Mach-E or EV predictions ???
I'm curious to see what people think. I just started the process to make a end of year video for YouTube, but maybe I'll make it a prediction video with some of the highlights from here.

I'd like to see the color palette get linked to the Fastback Mustang and move year-by-year together. Mustang and Mustang Mach-E should have the same colors, if Mach-E is "really" a Mustang after all, no?

I'd probably cancel my Grabber Blue First Edition if I could get Grabber Yellow that the 2021MY Mustang is getting.

I certainly hope so, it's kinda wasted real estate as it is, I feel.

I know I'm never going to use it for volume, but if it was a quick temperature knob, maybe even a fan speed knob, now we're talking. Volume is so much more convenient on the steering wheel, I still don't quite get the need for the knob if all it does is volume.

I agree that the know should be extended to automatically adjust whatever slider is currently shown (so fan, temp, etc), but I disagree about it being useless. I rarely ever adjust volume with my steering wheel controls; twisting the knob is so much quicker and more precise for me.

Ford stock price at the end of 2021
Since this is why I am primarily on this forum, maybe I can add some informed opinions, FWIW.

Motley Fool says this:

Why Ford could be next year's automotive growth story

John Rosevear (Ford Motor): I know the idea of investing in Ford might seem a little silly to growth-minded investors still giddy about their Tesla gains over the last year. But bear with me here because there are two good reasons why Ford could be a surprise market-beater in 2021.

First, with big automakers, stock prices tend to follow sales -- and auto sales tend to bounce early in economic recoveries. The post-COVID recovery won't be exactly the same as a typical post-recession rebound, but the recovery in consumer and business confidence should drive a jump in sales of cars, trucks, and SUVs in 2021.
Whole article here. https://www.fool.com/investing/2020...hoo-host&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=article

My WAG? $11, +/-, roughly 20-25%. :) Hope I'm too conservative.

Oh it's certainly a preference thing, I just can't remember the last time I've used a volume knob in any car I've had that also had steering wheel controls. The development team could have locked me in a room and said "come up with features for the Mach-E" and I'd probably never have thought of "volume knob on the screen" since for me it's going to be useless, that's all. It's clever, I just wish it did things I'd actually use it for.

If Ford decides to add videogames, the knob would be PERFECT for Tetris. Just saying.

Seriously, I like the idea of tapping temp or fan speed, and then twisting the knob.

There is already a door release mechanical door release in case of emergency. It is the same handle as the electronic door release but you keep pulling it all the way back to activate the mechanical override.
